Our family vacation at the sands was a great experience. The second day in our coffee maker quit working! I texted the customer service and began a chat with Ali. Within the hour Ali had a brand new coffee maker delivered! We both agreed a morning sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach without coffee just wasn’t a good morning! I will tell people PLEASE READ what the condo supplies. I’ve rented condos many times and folks usually show up without extra supplies; paper towels, paper plates, toilet paper, etc. come prepared unless you want to go shopping to get your extra supplies at a local store. The beaches are beautiful and clean. The host/hostess were very attentive to our needs and questions. Everyone on the property was nice and helpful too.

This rental was as shown for the most part. A few updated pieces of furniture. The only down fall was the floor could use a good mopping since all our socks turned black. Also do not leave anything outside or it will be taken. We left our beach chairs and a cooler to dry out from the rain and we went to get them later and they were gone. They were some very nice chairs and cooler as well darn it. Other than that, we had no real issues.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay overall and that the home met your expectations. We sincerely apologize that the floors were not cleaned to the standard we strive for. We take comments like this seriously and will share your feedback with our housekeeping team so it can be addressed promptly. We're also very sorry to hear about your beach chairs and cooler. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the security of personal belongings left unattended outside, but we certainly understand how disappointing that must have been. We appreciate your valuable feedback and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with an even better experience on your next visit. ~ Sands of Alabama Team

This place is perfect for a young family! The condo (and entire building) is super clean, not too big (you literally ride the elevator down to the parking lot and pool deck!) and is right on the beach. It makes taking kids to and from the splash pad, pool, and beach easy. The condo is incredibly nice - my kids had their own bedrooms, we had a nice master bedroom (with our own bath separate from the kids!) and a nice den/kitchen area to hang out in. There is also a washer/dryer that works really well -- this is a huge help with young children! This is our second year returning to this exact condo. We will be back - not only is the area nice, but the owner is easy to work with, extremely organized (lists everything in an email), check-in and check-out are ridiculously easy. We love this place!

Great Family Spot

The condo owner was extremely organized and easy to get in touch with. Condo had all the amenities you need for a trip with kids (washer/dryer, great living room area, tvs in bedrooms, etc). We didn’t have any issues with appliances, outlets, or bathrooms, etc. the condo is right on the beach- it is easy to get to and from the room with a short elevator ride. Great outdoor pool and splash pad for the kids! Condo staff were on top of everything! This is a great spot to take a family!

Nice for a short trip

It was a nice location, quick walk to the beach and the pool being heated was a major plus. My only complaint was that it had a smell like a smoker had been there.

Great Location-

Great location, right on the beach. Close to pretty much everything you need, restaurants, grocery and shopping all nearby. Plenty of room for my wife, me and 4 teenage girls. Dolphins are often swimming near the beach. Only negative is the supplied toiletries are low end quality. Make sure to bring your own tp, paper towels, dish soap, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Offseason Stay

This was a great short weekend stay during off-peak season. The property was great, clean, comfortable, the interior of the home was modern. Everything went really well! The only comment is that there was no desk staff to meet us when we arrived after 7 pm. It was a little confusing, but that is my only feedback. I would like to visit again during peak season.

Needs to be checked more often

I understand there’s a clause that states they only check the condo at the beginning of the season, but there were numerous things that didn’t work or needed to be fixed. 1- the pullout bed in the living room was broken and didn’t lay right so we were unable to use. 2- the bathroom, that was in the hall, the sink and bath tub wouldn’t drain properly. 3- the television in the room with green bed didn’t work. We had to purchase a Roku stick just to watch tv. 4- the tv in the living/common area would constantly change channel or stop working. 5- numerous outlets throughout the condo were loose and/or they didn’t work. The condo was just as it was listed, but there are some things that need to be addressed or checked more frequently for others to have a more enjoyable stay.

Spring break

This condo is extremely roomy and nice. We really enjoyed our stay. We were there with my husband and I, our 15 year old daughter, and my 26 yr old daughter and her husband and my 1.5 yr old grandson. It was stocked well for necessities as far as cooking and such. Would definitely stay there again. When I contacted the property manager they promptly responded.

Great condo and location

Check-in was easy with a door code and condo was even nicer than expected. We had 4 adults and there was plenty of room in the bedrooms and living room/kitchen. The view was nice and the pool was spacious. We went during an extremely busy time in July so pools and beach were really crowded. There are tons of kids, which was a bit overwhelming during the day and made it tough to enjoy at times (loud, screaming kids for most of the day). The lobby is small and dated and the elevators (only two) always had a long wait. The open parking lot is better than a parking garage, but it got backed up when there were folks loading/unloading at the front door. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and the unit worked well for us.

Overall satisfied with the Condo

Condo was nice. A little outdated, but that was the whole building in itself. Bathrooms in condo are very small. Carpet in bedrooms could use replaced. Had to get some air fresheners to mask some of the musky smell. But it was overall a nice place and our family definitely enjoyed the stay. Easy access to beach. Elevators were not terrible either. Nice pool and splash pad for children. Hope this helps your decision.

They said they would fix the broken bedroom door. They swapped out the molded coffee pot. The beach chairs in the balcony closet were rusted and mildewed. Other than that, it was fine.
