Probably the cleanest place I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in some very nice homes. LOVED that there were NO scented products used and no 'air fresheners' that I had to find and remove during the stay. Thought our host was away, her family was available though we had absolutely no issues. This is a great location for hiking and Winnebago County has several lovely forest preserves plus Nachusa Grasslands is just an hour away. The Anderson Japanese gardens are also worth a visit. The back deck is lovely and the gardens around the house are definitely worth a walk through - there are many nice native woodland plants and a small prairie garden to enjoy in season. We are planning a return visit to the area and hope to be able to stay here again.

Have stayed in this home several times. Consistently clean and well stocked. Close location to access Hwy 39/90. Host is quick to respond if needed. Will stay again!

We were in town visiting our adult son. This beautiful house was the perfect home away from home for us! Clean, peaceful, plenty of room, nice neighborhood, close to restaurants, shopping, and our son, who lived in Janesville, Wi but worked in Beloit, Wi. The host (Paula) was the best! We couldn’t have been any happier with our stay at “Traveler’s Sanctuary”!

Great Getaway

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend to get away from the city. It was homey, clean, and quiet, just what we were looking for! Every amenity you can think of was provided. The backyard fire pit area was comfortable and nicely landscaped, and attracted lots of birds and furry friends. The owner was very responsive to questions. We’d definitely stay again.

Serene Sanctuary

My sister-in-law and I truly enjoyed our stay in Paula’s home. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood, is extremely clean, and very comfortable (especially the beds). The upper deck overlooks the most beautiful wooded area where you can admire the beautiful landscaping and wildlife while sipping a cup of coffee. Paula is gracious, kind, and very responsive. Her attention to details throughout the home (which included a personal sign welcoming us) was much appreciated. If you are staying in the Rockford area, Paula’s home is not to be missed!

Ideal

We were two friends staying to do some zoom classes and get away for a few days. We have stayed in many vbro over the years both in US and UK. This was the cleanest, well stocked, nicely decorated property we have ever stayed at. We needed good lighting and there was plenty. Neighborhood is quiet and had weather been nice, we would have been happy to be outside. Home is comfortable in seating arrangements and beds (wow). No steps inside the home (only a step to get to porch). I don’t think this owner forgot anything! We did need assistance hooking up our computer to tv for the zoom classes. Owner came right up and worked with us to get it going. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here anytime. Sue Wilkins

Great Choice to Stay in Rockford/Roscoe

Truly our best experience with VRBO. The accommodations were 5 star all the way. Exceptionally delightful! Great location close to everything, but just out of the reach of crowded busy locations. Super well kept with every amenity! Well planned for traveling guests who sometimes cannot preplan everything you need when away from home. Beautiful nature scape everywhere around the home. Host was great with communication!

Immaculate comfortable Roscoe rental

This sweet comfortable and peaceful home has anything you could possibly want or need, right down to a sewing kit. Cleanest home I’ve ever stayed her. We liked how quiet and near the location was to our family

Moving mother-in-law

Another wonderful stay!

This is our second time renting Paula's Traveler's Sanctuary and won't be our last time. It really feels like a home away from home. The kitchen had a great selection of pots, pans, utensils and various seasonings we needed to make our meals. Far better than any other vacation home we've stayed at. The home is always so clean and welcoming and the neighborhood is very peaceful. Thank you, Paula, for another great stay!

Such a wonderful stay!

Our stay in Roscoe couldn't have been better. The home was very clean and comfortable and the nature preserve in the backyard was a special surprise! Watching the birds gather at the bird feeder while enjoying our morning coffee was a delight. Best stay ever! I'm sure we'll be back.

beautiful oasis

Paula has created a beautiful environment with all the ingredients for an enchanted getaway. the house is clean and modern but also tastefully decorated with interesting curios and nature based artwork. the deck and outdoor garden are lovingly maintained and a welcome escape into nature. Paula was a gracious host and literally went the extra mile for us. We would love to come back again

Amazing host and a beautiful home and gardens

Paula was a gracious host who communicated via text to make sure we had a great stay. She checked in with us to be sure we got into the property okay, answered any questions we had (restaurant recommendations, etc.), and even had dry fire wood for us (which sadly we didn't have a chance to use). She was attentive without interrupting us, going the extra mile. The home is beautifully kept, with a welcoming feel. The kitchen is fully stocked with supplied so you have all the tools you need to cook anything. The deck has a pergola which made eating outdoors enjoyable even mid-day. It was a short drive to restaurants (Pig Minds Vegan Brew Pub is incredible), Rockcut State Park, and Anderson Japanese Gardens. We were there for a work retreat and it was so quiet, there were no interruptions, and it was a great opportunity to get work done and enjoy the area. Mahalo Paula for sharing your beautiful home.

Relaxing time in beautiful environment!

We had a wonderful stay at Travels Sanctuary in Roscoe. It was the cleanest and most welcoming VRBO we ever stayed at. The yard and flowers were breathtaking, very relaxing to sit on one of the 2 patio areas on the large deck. We enjoyed a glass of wine and visiting looking at the beautiful yard and wildlife. Paula is a most gracious hostess and was attentive to our every need! We will definitely be going back to this 5 + star VRBO. Linda and Bob R.
