This home feels like it was probably great in its prime but needs more maintenance and upkeep to be that way again. It’s big and spacious and lots of space for our group to spread out. But felt in July as though it had been empty since the winter Dust buildup on surfaces, pink mildew in tub, and found trash and LOTS of dirt/dust buildup under the beds. Bad musty smell when we entered and we found the dehumidifier in lower level off with full bucket. Smelled like it had been off for a LONG time. We got it working again and owner sent a maintenance person to make sure it stayed on with its sump pump, however this whole level felt wet all week even with it running. Sheets on the beds felt damp and difficult to sleep. Definite signs of water damage and mold inside one of the utility closets. House advertised with central air conditioning and did not - contacted owner upon arrival and were told was a typo by property manager and most Vermont houses don’t have/need AC. Regardless, this was one of the reasons we chose this property. As it was quite warm that day, we asked for fans. It took a day but they did come. The listing was also corrected that day and no longer says AC. Bicycles on listing were not at the property either. Told they were hit by a car in previous rental. We did receive some back due to these issues but wish we didn’t have to deal with them at all. With some TLC to fix the broken items around house, and a DEEP CLEAN, it could be great.
