Amazing place

Beautiful off the beaten path over looking the beach. The architecture is very different and beautiful. Expect the internet to be typical for Mexico. Unpredictable. I do recommend renting a golf cart for the short ride to town and to get around. I would hightly recommend the property.

View not as described, no working A/C, completely unresponsive owner

No where in the description of the property did the owner/manager mention that a huge 6 story hotel was being built between Casa Rumi (the penthouse of her property) and the ocean obliterating the view. The owner changed the description on the VRBO website after I wrote her about our concerns due to the massive construction next door during our stay. We had to keep all the curtains drawn. The owner has a photo of the ocean view from the bathtub, all I could see was 4 construction workers looking in at me from 10 meters away. Also in the listing are beautiful unobstructed ocean views from the bedroom. In actuality all I could see and hear all day was the pounding of the construction workers. The earplugs that the owner left was further evidence that she was aware of the chaos next door. I wrote the owner after we arrived but NEVER got a response. I also called the property manager about the A/C not working during our 4 day stay. Property managers were a nice couple who did come out the next day to confirm the A/C wasn’t working but it didn’t get fixed during our stay. So in summation, we paid top dollar for ocean views and air conditioning that were in the listing but in reality neither existed. I only wish I could upload the photos for other people to see. As beautiful as the interior of this villa was, I never would have stayed here had I known I would be looking at a 6 story construction site for my 30th anniversary trip

Dear Adrian, I am so sorry you were this disappointed with your stay in Casa Rumi. Please do know that I did not change any of the information on VRBO website during your stay. I updated all our information and photos on all our sites to reflect the construction next door to us at the beginning of this year and have tried to be as forth coming as possible with our guests. Sayulita has become very popular recently and there is construction happening all over town. All we can do is let people know ahead of time. I was there in January right before you and we are doing everything we can do to make our guests comfortable till they finish the construction next door. Just so you know, we have always had earplugs in all our casas for our guests ever since we first opened because before the construction we would at times have weddings happening in our neighboring palapa and Villa Amor. I am also very sorry that the air conditioner was not working. That does not happen very often. My guest services team responds to repairs very quickly but in Mexico it is not always possible to get things resolved in a day. My deepest apologies. Thank you for your review. Sincerely, Zan

Beautiful!

I used this space as a getting ready spot before my wedding! The team was very kind, flexible and accommodating for my special day :). Gorgeous views, great lighting- really had everything we needed. We already had reservations to stay at a hotel in PM on our wedding night but this would have been a beautiful place to stay as well.
