What an amazing experience we had at Dewey's Cabin! My husband and I came with another couple and found it to be a perfect setting for rest and renewal. We all agreed that it was a wonderful way to re-connect with nature and "unplug" from every day. We came to take advantage of the dark sky during the Perseid Meteor shower and were not disappointed. We continued seeing some for 2 days afterwards. We canoed on the Buffalo River one day, enjoyed the solitude at Margaret White swimming hole . . . the cold, spring fed pool was amazing, visited the Crystal Bridges museum, and the Ghost Town at Rush. There are so many things to do in the area. We would highly recommend this stay to others and cannot wait to return!

Absolutely loved our stay at Dewey’s Cabin! It was home away from home. The cabin was so comfortable and made me think of old times. With air conditioning!! Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the lookout or the swimming hole. We spent a lot of time traveling up and down the mountain to the cabin, to and from Gilbert to meet up with family and canoe the river. It’s about 30 minutes to and from. Definitely would recommend being in a truck or suv for the drive. Cabin was nicely equipped. I liked having my own bedding and towels, etc. Definitely made it feel more like home. Marshall is closest grocery store. ((30 minutes away) Grill is charcoal so bring that. Host was super responsive. Not that we needed much, but I felt comfortable knowing she was there if we needed. World definitely recommend and we hope to go back!! Thanks for a great stay!

It’s lovely and the pictures of the views don’t even come close to how beautiful it is in person! We will definitely be making this our new place to stay every summer for the Buffalo! And the Buffalo river spots over here are amazing and it’s not crowded at all! We saw a family of bald eagles at the river, chipmunks, squirrels, deer and there are elk out here also! It’s peaceful and beautiful!

We really enjoyed our stay at Dewey’s Cabin. It was as described. First time visiting Arkansas and I’m so glad we chose this property.

A beautiful secluded get away, we got very helpful instructions on how to get to the cabin, and a tip for a local swimming hole that was amazing, definitely recommend a high clearance 4x4 to get closer to the river if you decide to go that route but getting to the cabin was easy in our Subaru. A truly beautiful experience to unwind and get away from it all, make sure to plan ahead for your food and keep a full tank as any stores or gas stations are gonna be in Marshall or further.

This is our favorite cabin!! Me and my husband go on a yearly floating trip and always stay here. It’s secluded, clean, and so cute! It has the best views and we always see wildlife. So many hidden treasures around. I love this place and will be staying there every year!

Megan was responsive, understanding, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. She was kind, accommodating, and went out of her way to address any issues promptly. We really appreciated her thoughtfulness and willingness to help, which made our experience much more enjoyable.Dewey's Cabin is a Great place to stay. The only thing to keep in mind is that the nearest grocery store is about a 27-minute drive away, so it's a good idea to plan ahead and stock up on essentials before arriving.

My wife and I really enjoyed this cabin. We spend a lot of time in this area camping, but this was our first time to stay in a cabin. Plan on bringing the family back this summer.

This is a fairly bare bones cabin literally in the middle of nowhere; if that is what you are looking for you will love it. Absolutely beautiful area. Make sure you bring everything you need because there is not easy access to anything besides nature out there.

Was an excellent stay, very secluded and peaceful. It’s a very charming cabin, and I have to say; we loved the countertops. The walk down to the swimming hole is perfect, beautiful overlook off of the BRT that includes a river view, bluffs, and surrounding natural beauty of Arkansas. It’s well worth the stay, and perfect for a secluded getaway with a small family. We appreciate you letting us stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time.

This is a rustic cabin way out on the mountain top where there is total peace and quiet. Everything was comfortable, including the bed. Beautiful location! I could photograph the Milky Way by just walking out the front door! I did try to adjust the AC once, but couldn't get it to adjust (maybe that was just me). Dewey's Cabin had everything I needed. The road to the cabin can be rough, especially in wet weather, but my AWD with high clearance made it just fine. Lots of places on the Buffalo to visit around this area, so this is a great location for outdoor adventures and hiking. The Host, Megan, was nice and really easy to work with. I had a great stay!

Fabulous

This is our 3rd year staying at this cabin and it gets better each year. We love the rustic feel and how much beautiful space you have. You are truly out in nature and to yourself. We also love the drive to the cabin. We roll down the windows and the kids stick their heads out. It feels like a drive/hike through a jungle. Absolutely gorgeous. We always go to Margarette white and swim and picnic. Amazing that we have our own, always the only people there, bluff and portion of the buffalo river. The owner is always responsive and was very kind to personally refund me a night when we had to cut our trip a night short about a month before our trip. We love this gem of a find. Glamping /cabin stay at its absolute best! We will be back!
