This is a beautiful, spacious property that worked well for our group retreat. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, both inside and outside, and having multiple suites with their own bathrooms was a big plus. The beds were comfortable, the suites were quiet, the pond was a nice feature, and we especially enjoyed the large, beautiful kitchen. The grill also worked great.There were a few things that kept the property from quite matching the expectations we had from the listing and the price. The landscaping around the gazebo in particular was pretty overgrown and could use some attention. Also, most of the screen doors on the suites had damaged screens, which meant we couldn’t leave the doors open for fresh air without letting bugs in. One of the damaged doors even scratched one of our guests. Those screen doors really need to be repaired.The kitchen was great overall, but a few basic items would have been helpful. We couldn’t find oven mitts, so we had to use towels, and there was only one pair of grill tongs with no grill spatula. There also weren’t basic cooking starters such as salt or oil, so guests should plan to bring those.We did pay a premium August rate, and for that price I would have expected the property and outdoor areas to be a little better maintained.
