Nick, It’s too bad that after approx 140 amazing reviews the only 2 negative one are from folks that didn’t follow the rules or didn’t like that we have a rental agreement for our guests to protect them as well as us. The owner of a super nice personal home we open for our guests from around the world to enjoy our place in McCall. Yes obviously it our personal cabin that’s what vrbo mean right Nick. So yes the whole cabin is filled with our families stuff for our esteemed guest to use and enjoy. Yea we are in snow country her to the tune of 100’s in a year and over 15 yrs there has been sign of ice damns par for the course of a mtn. Cabin. We meet you offered our kayak and life jacket for your use and you all thanked us and then came back to drop off a battery in the garage for our Jet Ski. Interesting your perspective on that one and it wasn’t even 4 pm the designated check in time yet. Yes we request that our guests wash and out their towels in the drier before they leave. It takes a total of 3 mins and then our next guest can get in on time and we keep our cleaning fee $50 to $100 less than our competitors for 3mins of work. No folding just pick them up and set in drier and push start. Then leave and they are on the road back home. It works really well. Then the damaged custom made bunk bed made from solid alder that I personally made for my kids. Why a grown men would be up using the top bunk during your stay and how someone could literally break in half a solid 1” thick pc of solid alder wood is beyond me. You did and this is how to react to it. You didn’t even tell me till my sweet cleaning lady sees it on the ground broken in half by you or your guest. Then tries to cover it up. We love that our guest enjoy our home that is why we do this, but ever guest I have had walk into my home except you have respected and honored our home during their stay. There is no way, under normal usage anyone could break a solid alder bed rail in half!!!

Lindsay, Well we apologize for how you feel, but when we open up our personal home to guests so they can enjoy it. We really appreciate that they are honest and that they tell us how many guests are staying. That is why VRBO asked that to start the process. We have always requested and required our guest to sign a Rental Agreement and you did sign one and failed to disclose your intentions with our home and didn't feel necessary to be honest with how many people were staying there. We pride ourselves to keep a nice property for our guests to use and likewise we appreciate them using our property for the disclosed reasons. In 15 years of having our home being rented. I have never seen anyone put in 16 towels into our washer machine. It blew the fuse and popped a code and then you choose to put into the drier 16 ringing wet towels and failed to let me know that the machine had popped a code for over loading the machine basin. When I arrived I saw water literally dripping out of the casing of my drier and drops of water falling on my carpeted garage floor. I texted in the morning and confirmed if you had any questions and your response was no. Then I found this mess and I thought I was very nice when I gave you a courtesy text and let you know about what I found. You also signed and agreed to our policies of starting and drying the used towels that your party used. We do this to keep our cleaning fee to a minimum and its essential that our guests to this to allow the cleaning ladies enough time to do the turn arounds. But Lindsay its a mutual agreed upon contract. You had the right to read it and agreed to it and that we agreed to open our house to you for you reasonable pleasure and enjoyment. We were very disappointed in the way to treated our very nice home. In 14 years I don't think we have ever had a bad review. So I wanted to make sure that those that do read these reviews have both sides of the story. I thought $128 was way fair to charge and especially if I hadn't got there when I did the drier would have had to be replaced because it would of rusted out with all that moisture in it.
