Susan's review was a bit confusing to read, as it doesn't fully reflect the communication we had during her stay. This is a home, and while we strive to maintain everything in perfect working order, unforeseen issues can occasionally arise that are beyond our control. When we learned that one of the bathrooms required urgent repairs and wouldn’t be completed in time, we promptly informed Susan. She responded that it wouldn’t be a problem, as it was just her and her husband staying, and they only needed one bathroom. We also offered her the option to cancel her reservation, so she did have a choice at that point. Before her arrival, Susan had several specific requests, including the removal of all linens due to an allergy to laundry detergent. To accommodate this, our housekeeper made a special trip to remove all bedding which did incur additional costs on our end — but we were happy to do this to ensure her comfort. In addition, we issued a refund for the inconvenience of not having access to the second bathroom, even though she indicated during our conversations that it wasn’t a major concern. As for the dishwasher, it is in perfect working condition and less than two years old. Susan did message me asking how to use it, and later confirmed that she had figured it out. Based on our communication during her stay, it didn’t seem like she was dissatisfied, so it was surprising to see that reflected in the review.
