Very nice accommodations. Kitchen was very well stocked. Overall it needs a little TLC (I.e. new coat of paint). Main deficiency was the water in showers was lukewarm at best; odd because water in sinks was hot. It was disappointing that the water temp in the pools was not heated. It was too cold for the grandkids to swim comfortably.

We appreciate your comments regarding the need for some TLC and certainly took them into consideration as the condo has been recently deep cleaned, carpet cleaned, freshly painted, and upholstery cleaned. We’re sorry to hear about the lukewarm shower water and will have our maintenance team look into this, as hot water should be consistent throughout the unit. Always reach out to your host during your stay to see if there is something we can do to assist. This is a boiler system in the building, so the hot water comes from the boiler on the roof. Regarding the pools, we understand the disappointment—pool heating is seasonal and dependent on outdoor temperatures, but we recognize how important this can be for families with children. We truly value your input, as it helps us improve the experience for future guests, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again.

The unit could use a little TLC, but it is still very nice overall. There are some marks on the walls from previous guests who were not careful, and the showers provide less water than you get from the South Carolina sky. However, my wife absolutely loved the tub! The unit is well stocked with everything you need for a great vacation. Do yourself a favor and enjoy dinner at the restaurant downstairs.

Myrtle Beach Getaway

Hubby and I traveled with our parents to N.Myrtle Beach. Upon entering the property, everything was just as listed. The condo was beautiful and you could smell and see that it was recently cleaned. Perfect location to relax and easy access to the pool, beach, and local restaurants. We hope to be back soon.

The resort was nice the unit could have used some TLC. The walls were not wiped down and showed heavy traffic and scuff marks throughout. There was a lot of touch up paint in Several different areas. The bathrooms could have been cleaned better than they were. We had to supply alot of basic necessities fans for the price I do not think you should still have to bring paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish soap, etc. The dishwasher did not work correctly. A lot of furniture crammed together to say that it accommodated more than it should. Was nice to be oceanfront but there is need for improvement.

Thanks Heather for your feedback on the Island. As you know and probably saw from the calendar that this condo stays booked throughout the year and especially during the peak season. In order to accommodate earlier than normal check-in times and sometimes late departures, we are not able to go into the condo after every departure and paint the walls. These are major renovations done during the off season. If you had any issues at all or cleaning issues, you could have reached out to us at the beginning of your stay or any time during your stay for us to be able to address any of your concerns. We didn't know about any of these issues or concerns until your review because you did not reach out during your stay for us to be able to address anything. The rental agreement and check-in emails all state that only starter supplies are available during your stay that this is not a hotel experience with daily maid service. You can see from other reviews of this condo that most guests are more than pleased with their accommodations at the Island and all of the amenities and dining that the resort has to offer.

We stayed for a week at this beautiful condo. The condo itself was the best condo I’ve ever stayed in. Bathroom and kitchen were clean and sanitized and stocked with anything you could want or need. Decorations were adorable. Each bedroom had a theme. Master was shells, king bedroom was pelicans and 2 queen bedrooms was sea turtles. The hotel itself had a wonderful tiki bar right by the pool so you could get beverages and food there and lounge by or in the pool. A top rated restaurant downstairs in the lobby that was delicious and I highly recommend it. The hotel has a wonderful indoor area with a lazy river, pool, kids play area and hot tub. 2 outdoor pools were amazing and right on the beach as well as another hot tub. Owners were amazing and very responsive and friendly. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place. We will definitely be back.

Great location

A beautiful place close to everything including the grocery store. There is a well stocked kitchen. Don’t bring beach chairs as they have them too. Bedrooms are warm so be prepared if you like it cooler. Island Vista staff are very friendly. This resort is very family friendly and probably not for an adults only vacation if you’re looking to escape the kids. That said, it’s outstanding if you do have kids. Love the night time fire pits and easy access to the beach.

Fantastic!

We went for a long weekend trip and this place was perfect! We really enjoyed our stay. Exactly as listed the resort was gorgeous with multiple pools. Kids loved the indoor pool!

Spacious Comfortable Condo

Great stay

The condo was excellent and had everything we needed and the view from the 9th floor was amazing. We had a drain issue with one of the bathtubs but I contacted the realty company and they sent someone over to fix it within a couple of hours. We really enjoyed the fact that the condo was in a great location, the beach wasn’t crowded, and it was close to all of the restaurants and attractions that we were interested in. We would definitely stay here again.

Summer 2024

We had a wonderful time at Island Vista for our week vacation. Our main complaint, which most likely won't change, is that of the parking garage. It is one of the most awkward garages I have ever parked in. I would suggest a few more traffic mirrors at the curves, maybe larger and possibly lit. The condo itself was fabulous! The fitted sheets on the beds aren't fitted very well and constantly kept popping off during the night...a little annoying.

I am sure you aren't the 1st nor will be the last to mention the garage, but as you mentioned, I don't see that changing. Property at Island Vista is beautiful! The master bath shower needs a good cleaning. Mold around the entire bottom of shower. Furnace door was covered with a thick layer of dust. Kitchen had everything we needed. Overall a beautiful view and beachy decor but room needed a good cleaning.

Great room, building & location

Great room. Nice building. Wonderful location. Clean room/facility. Friendly staff. Not crowded. Kitchen stocked with all your cooking needs. Quiet location between North & South. Easily access all North & South restuarants & events. Check in/out was a breeze. 6th year staying at this "hidden" gem.

Great place to stay

Overall the condo was great and was exactly as the pictures showed. The property manager Lynn was awesome to work with and always responded quickly to my questions. The only issue I had was that the parking garage was a little challenging. Spaces were tight and it was tricky to navigate if one car is going up and one car is coming down. But this wasn’t a deterrent. I would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Myrtle Beach.

Great Space

This was the perfect space for our family. The kitchen had any appliance or utensils welded for our stay. The beach was amazing and not overcrowded. The elevators were fast and staff at the resort was very friendly.
