The house and especially the pool is fine. However, it is somewhat isolated, so you should be prepared for that. It is a long way to the nearest shops. Unfortunately, the A22 motorway is not far away, which causes some traffic noise.The cleaning was generally satisfactory, except in the kitchen, where we had to wipe down the cupboards and shelves and clean the refrigerator before we could use it. It was frustrating to have to spend time on this just after arriving. The kitchen equipment was limited, and we also had to wash much of it before use.The rest of the equipment in the house also leaves room for improvement. It is generally worn and shows signs of many years of use. In particular, it is difficult to understand why, when the house is advertised as accommodating six people, there are only four sun loungers and four chairs for the dining table on the terrace.The biggest problem, however, was the toilets and drains, which became blocked during our stay. The initial attempt to resolve the issue only made matters worse, and we had to take action ourselves to prevent sewage from flowing into the pool. When the first attempt failed, we had to follow up repeatedly before the drain was finally cleared and the toilets could be used again. Afterwards, we were once again left to clean the terrace and pool area to avoid walking through sewage. This was completely unacceptable, yet we were still asked to cover the cost of clearing the drain — an utterly unreasonable request.
