The place is situated in a great place right on a great beach with comfy chairs with cushions both by the house for eating and under a palapa on the beach. The kitchen has everything you could need. The main issue is that we selected the place because of the hot tub and weren’t told it was being repaired and wouldn’t be present prior to coming. We would likely have chosen a different place as this was very important to us. The owner gave us 50 paid for massages for 2 of us to make up for it but only after we reached out to VRBO support. I’m not sure what an appropriate refund would be but ChatGPT suggested 25% (which would have been 325) and we definitely saw cheaper places without a hot tub. But we had a great stay overall and the house met our needs otherwise. Also, we found the request for early arrival and extra person fees (beyond 6 people) kind of distasteful and not typical for my prior experiences with these types of rentals. We did get a 200 discount that I asked for before booking because VRBO, to its detriment, does not include taxes in its prices and I cited the price to my 6 person group prior to seeing the taxes. So that may explain why we were asked for additional fees, but I found it ironic that the listing said “no hidden fees”. As long as you verify whether the hot tub is there it’s a great place. Oh but you should know the bunk room is off the master bedroom by a sliding glass door with blinds one of which we couldn’t get down.
