Scenery was absolutely beautiful! No fish in the river that we found but our party had a great time trying. Screened in porch was nice to sit on and enjoy morning coffee. Beds were very comfortable. Quiet location for the most part. We didn’t realize there is another house right next door through the trees and first few days they were pretty loud but other than that it was quiet. Pretty steep road getting to the house so recommend 4 wheel drive or at least front wheel. We didn’t realize there was little to no cell service. As someone who doesn’t use wifi at rentals due to personal security reasons, that was a downer but it helped us unplug nonetheless. Rest of our party used WIFI and had no issues. Downside was there were a tremendous amount of acorns falling constantly from the trees over the house. It prevented us from using the outside porches and hot tub and was very loud falling on the tin roof at all hours. Plus side, the rain sounded amazing on the roof. Hosts were responsive and easy to work with. The scenery was worth the drive getting to the house. Great location to go into Helen, Dahlonega, Cleveland and Ellijay although that one is a little further than the rest. Friendly dog that came around a few times for some treats.

My family and I had a very special time at the White Rapids Retreat. We enjoyed a fun-filled week of swimming and fishing on the river and our dogs loved running around the grass outside. We made unforgettable memories and already can't wait to be back. Thank you!!

This place was absolutely amazing and the views were stunning. The entire house was spotless. The host has labeled all switches and left directions on how to use hot tub and grill, along with an entire book of local recommendations. This was the last stop of our multi state vacation and we didn’t want our vacation to end. The driveway is steep and we almost thought we were in the wrong location until we made it halfway down the driveway. This place left us speechless. The water was so beautiful and we enjoyed every minute we could sitting and listening to the rushing water and wading across to the island and fished for hours each day. Our three pups loved the property as well and even dove right in the water to join us on the river to fish and explore. The beds were a little stiff for our liking but everyone likes a different firmness and it was so dark at night since it was so remote. We will for sure be booking vacation at this place again. We can’t wait to bring back the rest of our family to visit. 10 out of 10 for sure!

We will be back!This place is so pretty, the views right out the back door are incredible. We had a great time and are already thinking of when we can get back here. The house is really nice, everything you need is here and the kitchen is very nice. Husband went out fishing every morning, so when I woke up to the beautiful view of this river, there was my husband fishing Rob was very nice and easy to get a hold of if you had any questions.

Beautiful house, premium location! My family had a vacation well remember forever. Stepping right out the back door to the river bank was a dream, we spent all day outside playing in the river, tubing, fishing, grilling and relaxing. We had a campfire every night while the kids ran around and played. The home is large, clean and stocked with everything you would need. We ventured to Helen for shopping, lunch and sightseeing- only a 20-30 minute drive. We hope to be back soon!

The creek access is amazing! The screened porch is great—huge and tiled! The bathrooms are updatedish and clean. The upstairs bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows—can’t speak to any others. I would definitely rent again… but with lower expectations. The house itself needs some love. It is NOT a luxury cabin. They have another next door to it that is. The kitchen (new stove while we were there) is fairly well stocked, but the only frying fan I would use or did use was the cast iron. They need to get rid of old scratched up Teflon pans and check the organization between rentals. Others have commented on the dust on ALL the old decor- even in bathroom. Owner response was it’s hard to clean all that stuff. Maybe do a serious declutter/de-decorate so the cleaners can better clean with time to spend on the grounds and outdoor areas. The sofa with the pullout is spent. Only 1 of 3 canoes was usable. I did not go in the hot tub—it needs love as well. Lastly, there is no light over the dining table which makes it tough to play games.

Pictures definitely don’t do this place justice. My kids had a blast the entire time we were here. We immediately went down to the river and went straight in. The screened in patio was our go to spot for hanging out and eating and playing games or watching TV (when we weren’t in the river). The kitchen was fully stocked and very organized. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. We usually go to Helen and get a hotel, but this place exceeded going there by a landslide. The kids had way more fun and we got to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of being away from our busy lives and just be. We will definitely be booking again! This cabin will be our go to spot!

We enjoyed our stay for a few days at this beautiful place. The river was so nice and relaxing. Rob was quick to respond with any questions or issues. Would definitely stay again!

If you are looking for a romantic getaway this is the place. It is right on the Chattahoochee river and the hot tub is on a deck overlooking the river. If you are looking for a place for the family and kids this is also the place. Lots of games and the kids will have a blast in the river. Cabin was clean and everything was perfect. Screened in porch where you can sit and have a drink and listen to the river. Fire pit right by the river where we roasted hotdogs and s’mores. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing stay at the River Cabin in Demorest! The river is absolutely beautiful—wide, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing or just enjoying the view. The cabin itself was spotless and very well maintained, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay.Everything was thoughtfully set up, making it easy to settle in and feel at home right away. Whether you’re looking to unwind or enjoy nature, this place is perfect. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The river is beautiful! The cabin has a rustic character, lots of woodwork. Showers are nicely updated and clean. Unpaved remote road to quite a steep concrete driveway. Big yard area with picnic table. The mattresses are VERY uncomfortable! The couches are also very uncomfortable; throw pillows are quite worn and dirty. Stained & discolored towels and sheets. All the nick knacks, faux plants/floral, & blinds are very dusty. Needs a deep clean. No window coverings in the living room for privacy. Roomy kitchen and Island, we did not cook anything while there so no opinion on appliances or kitchen amenities. The multiple decks have a really nice view of the river, the screened in porch is large and has a nice view as well. Good river access. Needs a deep clean and some upgraded/updated amenities. Would not consider it a "Luxury" cabin I would consider it more on the Rustic side. The River is Beautiful and the cabin is located in a quiet, peaceful location with only one nearby neighbor!!
