The Best Part of our Boulder Experience

The property is beautifully situated on a quiet hillside with beautiful scenery and excellent wildlife viewing. It was better than expected and a highlight of our visit with friends. After visiting the bustling communities in the area, the house provided a place for peace and quiet away from the bustle.

Amazing place!

Not only did this house have a great layout for our adult family of 4 but it had an amazing view, thoughtful amenities, and easy commute into Boulder. April was a top-notch host. Communication was always prompt, provided all essentials -- enough toilet paper as well as tissue boxes (no one ever provides those!), well-appointed kitchen, and nice touches throughout the house. We love Boulder and are thinking of moving there and if I could, I'd buy this house. It was a great property with a very thoughtful owner and we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Friends concert get together

Aprils house is amazing. The location is perfect for visiting landmarks. My favorite time was morning coffee with amazing views of Boulder and all the wildlife. The house is very comfortable and well equipped.

Sunshine Canyon retreat

Charming home with great amenities and a beautiful view. Deer in the yard on most mornings and evenings. Lots of hummingbirds. Little touches in the home (art, decor, friendly kitties, etc) made it even more special. Easy access to Boulder and Rocky Mt Natl Park, but lovely quiet retreat in the mountains. Everything you needed and more!

A bit of heaven behind the Flatirons

April's place was absolutely fantastic. She made sure everything was just right for our stay and unlike so many VRBOs, the place was absolutely neat and clean. It was quiet and peaceful, a perfect base of operations for all our day hikes around Boulder and evening visits to Boulder itself. We are most definitely coming back next year (and the years after that!).

Amazing views-Amazing place!

We enjoyed our time here so much we didn't want to leave. We were greeted with a sweet welcome sign and lovely fresh flowers. It's a short 10 minute drive down the mountain to Boulder which was great. My husband and I stayed in the bedroom on the main level with the king sized bed. We both have some back issues but not with this bed. So comfortable! The bath towels were plentiful and were thick and soft. My daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandsons stayed in the 2 bedrooms upstairs and they were very comfortable. The glass shower upstairs is so cool with beautiful mountain views. The bedrooms all have plenty of fans (the king bedroom also has a ceiling fan) which was great as there was a heat wave when we visited. The entire home is very clean and has everything you could need and them some. It was nice to have the 1/2 bath off of the kitchen as my daughter and her family that live in Boulder and my niece and her family that traveled with us came over a couple of evenings for dinner. We had plenty of space to host them and they all thought this home was amazing. The living room was very comfortable with plenty of blankets. The outdoor patio is great and the views of the mountains and valley both morning and night are breathtaking. The deer family visited every day and one morning we saw a grey fox. Be sure to go out after dark to see the night sky with all of the gorgeous stars. Thanks so much, April!

Awesome views, beautiful home, comfy too!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay in Sunshine Canyon. Such a gorgeous property, conveniently close to Boulder and other sights. April clearly cares about her guests, she even checked in (via text) a day or so after our arrival to ask if we needed anything. Our needs were well-met: comfortable beds, outdoor space was so nice, kitchen with all the essentials, bathrooms too and I loved the glass shower with mountain views. I didn’t want to leave. Just can’t say enough about this property. I travel frequently and April’s home is now a top favorite. Definitely hope to return. You will not be disappointed. Bonus tip: download the Merlin Bird ID app and see how many wonderful birds are right off the patio. Oh, and be sure to enjoy the starry skies at night. Thank you for everything April.

Wonderful week at April’s

This home was a beautiful sanctuary. April has thought of every amenity and warm touch, from the welcome sign, fresh flowers and kind note upon arrival to responding swiftly to any questions we raised. The views are spectacular—saw a deer family regularly and even a Rocky Mountain Fox one night. The birdsong is incredible. The beds were perfect, hot water plentiful, and her kindness and professionalism stellar. And it’s such an easy, quick and pretty drive to downtown Boulder. Strongly recommend!

Wonderful

The property is wonderfully understated and I enjoyed everything about it. The view is amazing and we saw deer almost every day. The master bed was very comfortable and so was the living room furnishings. There were ample blankets and pillows for lounging. We LOVED Aprils two cats who visited us every day and gave us so much love. We have been trying to plan another trip to this wonderful home asir was perfect for our home base during our trip to Boulder for hiking and relaxing

Outstanding view and amazing woodwork inside

The view was great, it overlooked Boulder and the city lights at night were awesome especially when the moon rise was right above the city. The inside was clean, the coffee there was high end and the woodwork in the house blew me away each day, so much detail and craftsmanship. The layout of the house was convenient, two bedrooms upstairs with jack n jill bath while the master was the bottom floor near the kitchen and living space. There was a wood stove which we used each night and loved so much, it was an enjoyable unexpected treat for our trip.

The perfect mountain retreat!

I spent 3 days at the cabin, and it was absolutely perfect. From the beautiful artwork on the walls to the wood-burning stove, it was pure magic. A herd of deer hung out on the property, adding to the vast mountain views. There was almost pure silence the entire time, and loved be surrounded by privacy. I highly recommend.

Superb A+++!

This is the absolute best VRBO property I've experienced in many years of renting -- both the property and the owner. The accommodations were perfect, with every little detail of comfort and usefulness thoughtfully addressed. There were many bath towels, top quality beds and linens, a fully-equipped kitchen with everything imaginable -- all high-quality, compared with some owners who stock their rental properties with dollar store silverware and cookware. The owner was responsive almost immediately to the questions we had, and all small glitches were resolved easily. The decor was tasteful and pleasant. And the view -- simply wow. The deer roaming around added to the ambiance of the property. And, as the owner stated, the house truly is 10 minutes away from downtown Boulder, even though it feels like a peaceful world away. Highly recommended with no reservations.

Stunning views, gorgeous property and wonderful host

We stayed at April's home for a family vacation and could not have had a better experience. The property itself is gorgeous, tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. April provided us with everything we could have needed and then some. She was so kind, with helpful information including directions, recommendations for activities, sightseeing, dining etc. The property sits in a canyon and to say the views are stunning is an abject understatement. It's a slice of Heaven on this earth. And, it is unique in the sense that Boulder is only a 10-15 minute drive yet you would never know it. It's tranquil and peaceful. We could only hear the sound of the wind at night. We enjoyed visits from a deer family of 5 every morning and evening (from a short distance of course). Thank you for welcoming us so warmly April, we would love to stay again if in the Boulder area!

Beautiful home with gorgeous views!

We enjoyed our stay at April's Sunshine Canyon home. It's very easy to find and is in a great location, about ten minutes from Boulder. The home was perfect for my family and was very, very clean. April stayed in contact with us and made herself available for any needs we may have needed. The views were fantastic and the home offered all the privacy one would want or need. It was nice awakening in the morning and having coffee on the patio which overlooked the beautiful mountains. If you are looking to rent a clean mountain home with beautiful views and privacy, I highly recommend this rental. It was everything we were hoping for and then some. Meeting April was wonderful and she was so welcoming. She really respected our privacy but made herself available to us in case we needed anything. Thank you, April, for your wonderful hospitality and we hope to return some day. Len

Beautiful!

The property was beautiful. April gave wonderful detailed instructions on how to get there, as well as gave us a list of recommendations in Boulder, and Nederland for shopping, food, ect. The house had everything we needed and april was easy to get ahold of and consistently asked what more she could do for us. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a beautiful view in sunshine canyon.
