Hi Mike. Glad to hear you had a great time, and my home was nice and clean. That's awesome. And I am glad, as well, that you all were interested in coming back. OTOH, I am a bit torn as to how to respond to the review narrative and the wayward star. So... as folks who have seen my many reviews across my properties know (mostly 5s!), when it doubt... talk aloud and be direct! 😉
In the many years I have owned the home, this is the first mention of signage or streetside lighting. We have a big management co sign, with the name of the property, another PEARL on the building, and big street numbers. We actually can't put up yet another sign by code, but we actually DO have yet another sign across the road since we have a big one for Pearl additional parking (we own the lot across the road). Several items you mention are things it seems like you felt COULD have been an issue hypothetically, e.g. pool sharing, other sharing, and parking, but that you did not experience as an issue for yourselves (since no one was next door during your stay). Not sure that's terribly fair... and in real world experience, we don't usually have a lot of complaints where folks are not playing nice, and can always get involved if we do. Oh, and the aforementioned lot across the street parks quite a few additional vehicles—maybe you didn’t see that.
I am sorry you felt there could be more towels. Some folks always want more towels, of course, but you should have had 1.25x max occupants. Max is 26, so that's 33 towels for 20 people (since you had 20). That seems like plenty, but if you had reached out about it, we could have checked inventory and delivery some bonus ones, no problem!
And... on the elevator, I've not had someone have this confusion before but... you are actually welcome to load luggage. Everyone does that. What the sign (and our emails, and the video we also share) warn against is getting in and out of the elevator 6 (or more) times without going anywhere. Almost ALL residential elevators have a lock out when people get on and off a lot, and they then won’t go anywhere until they are reset. You can always load up, toss things in, etc, but if you get on and off 6+ times, it may not go anywhere! Really wish you had reached out to folks at any time to confirm that.
Again, glad you all had a great time. 🥳 In the future, if you return here, or to any of my homes, or really if you stay with anyone, anywhere… folks are here for you and can clarify any possible confusion, and address any issues you may have, usually johnny-on-the-spot! That’s what hosts are here for! Thanks again!🙏
