The cabin is quaint with 2 bedrooms and an overflow balcony area with a bed. The kitchen has basic dishes and utensils with microwave oven and coffee pot. The large porch area has a gas grill which overlooks a creek with flowing water. Internet with wifi service and TV is included as well as washer and dryer.The beds are also comfortable. The cabin is located in a gated community with access by code. The area is generally rustic with many trees and undergrowth.I would use this cabin again as my plans involve the Maggie Valley area.

Beautiful cabin. Three minutes down the paved road to the main section of Maggie Valley restaurants and four miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fantastic stream with multiple falls and great sound. We're definitely staying again next Summer.

The property and the host were excellent. A couple of opportunities for improvement are:1. Requesting for the kitchen items to be washed and put away rather than leave after starting the dishwasher makes it inconvenient and delays departure.2. Trash disposal to be done at a remote facility instead of a nearby location is not consistent with the pricing for the stay.Other than that, we enjoyed the property very much.Venkat

Thank you for your kind words Venkat. About the dishes, most guests run the dishwasher at night so they can put it up in the morning, and just hand wash the morning dishes. Also, in cases where they run it in the mornings, the guests only need to let me know so I can have the cleaners put them away. The trash disposal location is not remote -- it is only about 10 minutes away ON THE WAY out of the city -- it is conveniently located and is a drive through. I always work with my guests - my only request is to let me know RIGHT AWAY about any concerns so I can address them immediately. Was not ready for travelers no cleaning, gill was not clean in who knows when was very disappointed. I was charged for cleaning, and had to buy insurance to stay there . I left it way better than I find it and there was no damage done by us. Just not a good week for us.

Hello Terry, There was a mix up with the schedule of the cleaners. I offered to send them in, but you said it’s ok and it’s not bad. I am refunding your cleaning fee which I promised you I will do. You were so kind on the phone and assured me things happen and that it was totally fine. I offered repeatedly and you turned it down and said you were already settled. Apologies for your experience… but I always work with my guests — you were the one who didn’t want to work with me. Thanks for staying.

Cabin is conveniently located close to Maggie Valley and Waynesville. The cabin is nice and there’s not much you need to bring. Ingle’s grocery store is about a 12-15 drive for all the grocery needs you might have. Great place to stay and the host is very easy and pleasant to work with. Obey the speed limit for safety and unexpected surprises (see the attached photo).

Great Cabin! Really clean! Host communicated very well, was quick to respond if I had a question. My son loved the game room and treehouse, hot tub was nice after hiking to the waterfalls. Cabin was really close to downtown.

Rushing Bear was a perfect home away from home for our visit to Maggie Valley. Comfortable, inviting, and the fire pit area in the back made the evenings that much more cozy. I had a fantastic stay at this mountain cabin! The location is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful views, making it the perfect place to unwind. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. I especially loved the fireplace and the porch overlooking the trees. The host was friendly and responsive, which made the whole experience even better. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Rushing Bear is a charming cabin and a true compliment to Maggie Valley. We found it inviting and quite private. With two 5 Star restaurants minutes away we didn't need the fully equipped kitchen, but it was nice that it was there. Loved the bed in the Master! The colors in the Fall are awesome and we can give Rushing Bear "Our" 5 Star rating. Thank you for a lovely getaway
