Aloha! We’re glad to hear you had a fun visit! We truly appreciate your feedback & wanted to clarify a few details for future guests. There shouldn’t be any surprises about the unit being on the 4th floor and our building having one elevator. We provide all the details in the Rental Agreement at booking. The elevator is very rarely out of service, so it sounds like may have been given some inaccurate information. This instance happened to coincide with the major Kona storm that impacted the islands just days before arrival. Repair teams worked as quickly as they could during widespread island emergencies, we appreciate everyone’s patience while it was restored within the week. Our photos & descriptions do accurately reflect the condo’s layout and many views. We always encourage guests to browse reviews, look through photos, and reach out with any questions so we can help make sure our home matches their expectations. Our AC units do provide reliable, year‑round comfort & we understand everyone's preferences can be different. As a budget‑friendly, owner‑managed rental, we offer a cozy, home‑style environment rather than the ultra‑cold AC experience typical of resort hotels. Many guests describe the condo as clean, quiet, well‑equipped, and a great affordable option for those seeking a relaxed, local vibe close to the beach. Mahalo again for your stay!

We apologize that the unit felt too warm upon your arrival; this can happen in Kihei depending on the time of day & a drop in the trade winds can make it feel unusually hot. Information provided when booking explains for guests to turn off the AC when the unit is unoccupied, so this should not come as a surprise upon arrival. Turning off the AC helps to conserve energy, prevents overheating & allows us to maintain our low rates. As a reminder, we are not a resort condo with hotel-style AC infrastructure. We offer a cozy, home-style environment with a relaxing local vibe. Our AC units provide reliable comfort year-round when used efficiently.
