The property is an older unit but has been renovated with then & bathroom upgrades but the view is what really sold us! Spectacular sunset views and the sunrise and throughout the day are amazing as well. The condo is easy walking distance to beaches and nearby shops in and a short drive to the main part/docks at Lahaina. The unit is studio type open concept with open galley kitchen. It has AC, ceiling fan, stove, microwave, fridge and all the beach essentials you need- cooler, chairs, boogie boards & towels plus it has paperback books, weights to work out and games too. Bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner & sunblock which we appreciated. Laundry is across the street at the main property. Property management was super helpful- very prompt to reply with any questions or concerns. Great stay overall!!!

Pros:The view is amazing! We had to check on "our turtles" regularlyHaving an assigned parking spot was greatIt is conveniently located to Kaanapali, Kapalua, Napilli and Airport beaches but didn't feel touristy. We ate at several local restaurants and the guy working at Boss Frog's was super helpful with snorkeling tips. There is A/C. We used it a couple nights but mostly slept with the windows and lanai door open. Even in August, it was comfortable! There was great communication and the owner has a local host if we needed anything. We had a late flight and the owner allowed us to stay until later in the day which we really appreciated. The decor has a lot of personality. We could tell this unit belongs to someone who uses it for his personal use, not just as a rental. The kitchen was very well stocked with pans, good knives and other necessities. Considerations for Improvement:A few basics were missing. There were no Kleenex. We would have liked more towels and washcloths.There was more "stuff" around than I would have liked - parts of tiles, multiple "junk drawers" (I know we all have them but storage is at a premium in a small place), multiple guitars, hand weights on the closet floor, etc. Despite the "no smoking" signs everywhere, a woman sat on the curb smoking every morning and evening and the smoke wafted into the condo. I don't know if she was a resident or a guest so maybe it was just bad luck but it was very noticeable. All in all, a great stay!

This is a very cozy little unit right on the water’s edge. It is cleverly organized and seems larger as a result. The decor is thoughtful, and we especially loved the bronze sculpture on the lanai! We ate dinner on the lanai at sunset every day and it was lovely. There is no elevator in the building, so pack accordingly or bring a strong friend. That aside, this is a nice little place to relax and enjoy the ocean.

This was a great location and everything you needed for a beach day on Maui. There is a great view and the host and their staff were very helpful and responsive. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I absolutely hate not being able to give it 5 stars, but unfortunately, there are a few things that keep it from being perfect. First, you can hear the people above you and unfortunately for me during my stay, they were up at 6AM. It is not pleasant to be woken up at 6 AM on your vacation with heavy footsteps and chair sounds from above. Secondly, the A/C could be better. Despite being a fairly small space, the air conditioner wasn't strong enough for us. If these issues don't bother you, then it is a perfect spot.

Hi Allison, Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked the unit overall. The AC unit is a 10,000btu LG dual inverter unit that's less than two years old, which I've never had anyone complain about it. It's probably the best unit I've had in there. I was just there and it works great, so I'm not sure what your expectations were. Between that and the ceiling fan the condo cools off pretty rapidly. Although it is Hawaii, so getting a room really cold (65) takes a while. 68-70 is usually not a problem. Sleep is really important so I take the ability to control temperature seriously. As for noise, sometimes there are noisy guests upstairs. In the future, please let Charles know about it and we'll touch base with them about being mindful during quiet hours. That solves it 90% of the time.

Great location, well maintained and incredible views! We loved our stay at Jim’s condo and would absolutely book again. We saw whales and turtles off the lanai every morning, and the sunsets were just spectacular. While the beaches adjacent to the condo were nice, we enjoyed the ability to drive 5-10 minutes to explore the other beaches along the west coast from Kapalua to Lahaina. Great food and a Snorkel Bob’s within walking distance added to the convenience. Five stars all around.

Perfect oceanfront location with everything we needed for our stay. The bed is very comfortable, the appliances are plentiful, the shower terrific. The condo is within walking distance to some good restaurants. Beaches are close by and are free. The host has thought of everything to make our stay excellent.

We absolutely loved this condo. It’s very clean, updated, very comfortable, had absolutely everything we need and more. We made meals in the condo and grilled, too. Jim provided so much information pre-trip to help us plan. Charlie, the property manager, was very responsive to our questions. The bed is very comfortable, which is important to me since I have a permanent back injury. The condo is decorated beautifully, and its location is very convenient. We watched sunsets, whales and surfers from the lanai. We would stay here again in a heart beat! Thank you, Jim!

Kitchen had a lot of the nice little extras along with being fully equipped. View is amazing and having breakfast and dinner out on the lanai was wonderful. Did see whales breaching and flying fish as a plus. Really nice beaches short drive away. Bed super comfortable. Office space for connecting laptop to large screen was great.

The beach view from the lanai was incredible, breathtaking! The host was so informative with a lengthy email providing detailed information about all of the condo amenities and local area suggestions. The condo was equipped with everything we needed, including beach chairs, umbrella, firm pillows along with soft pillow options, comfortable bed, beautiful, easy to access shower, lovely art to admire, and a telescope. We hope to be back and will definitely recommend this condo to our friends.

The view is gorgeous, the bed is cozy, all the amenities you need plus some extras. Really can't get better location for price than this! Gorgeous beaches are just a short drive away. Not overly touristy feeling or busy. Felt like home, so cozy. The art in the place is really cool to!Plus, the owner is super communicative with detailed emails with recommendations and helpful tips before your stay! The 'on-island contact' is friendly and very helpful as well! Our honeymoon stay here was everything we hoped for and more - and if we are fortunate enough to come back to Maui, this will be the place I try to book! Highly recommend.

Nice clean studio.

Nice studio with amenities. Parking can be a bit tricky. You will need a rental car with this location.

Hi John, Glad you enjoyed the condo! Not sure why you felt parking was tricky. There's a reserved spot about 30 feet from the condo. So parking should be pretty easy. In general, you need a car on Maui. It's very spread out, so you're pretty limited if you don't have a car unless you stay in a big resort and only leave the resort to go on tours. I highly recommend a car as it greatly expands the restaurants you can go to and things you can do. Mahalo Jim

Amazing stay

I can not say enough about this property, owner and property manager. All around one of the best vacation experiences I have ever had. The property is exactly like it is described and pictured - there was plenty of space for me and my husband. The property owner Jim gave us such detailed check in info and the onsite property manager was in contact if we needed anything at any time. The place has an amazing view, is quiet, safe, great parking, perfectly located to everything (short 10min drive to Whalers Village area, easy to highways). Jim gave us such helpful hints about where to go food shopping, restaurants, beach access nearby, snorkeling advice (which we took so thank you), whale watching, literally every suggestion you could need. We took advantage of the beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards that were available. Every morning we had coffee on the lanai and snacks/drinks before dinner. I will miss the view!!! We took day trips to Haleakala, the road to Hana, Iao valley hikes, and snorkeling at black rock!!! Thank you for an amazing stay . I would recommend this property to everyone.

Exactly what we wanted

This trip, we didn’t want the hustle and bustle of a hotel or the crowd. We started and ended every day on the lanai. Every day we spotted sea turtles and dolphins. It was a calm, quiet spot that was still close to anything we could need.

The sea turtles are there every day around high tide, so they're basically residents. But you can also see eagle rays occasionally, so keep your eyes open for them next time. I love rays, they're so beautiful to watch gliding through the water.

Perfect Condo

This is an affordable condo, so I wasn't sure what to expect. While not fancy, it has everything you need to have an amazing time. You can watch turtles from the lanai, catch sunsets, and watch rainbows. Want to have a beach day- use the beach towels, chairs, umbrella, and cold bags that are provided. No detail was missed, including one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. You can tell a lot of love was put into this place and I would happily stay here again. Mahalo!

Perfect location next to famous beaches and resorts, yet calm and quiet. Well stocked. Did not need AC, cool winds and whale watching right from the balcony. Will go back! Excellent communication.

Awesome stay at a wonderful place!

Pictures and descriptions of this place are spot on. Older unit but has some nice upgrades including nice bed, kitchen and shower. Loved mornings and sunsets on the lanai including seeing whales. Sure, it’s not a resort, but wife enjoyed the pool and we got a million dollar view for a week at about what you’ll pay for a night or 2 at the Ritz just up the road! (And we were closer to the water.) On the last night we were discussing how quickly we could get back :-)
