We were looking for a cabin/cottage in the woods and that is what we got, beautiful color change on leaves a cabin with wood paneling on floors and walls. Perfect! A golf course right at my front door, fire pit, fireplace that needs work but I feel confident Mark will repair it We saw at least 50 deer on our evening walks and a bear while golfing. The lake was beautiful as well. Aghort drive for good food and central location to other attractions.

Enjoyed our stay. Short walk to the lake. Nice,quiet area. Good area for morning walks. Host was quick to respond to inquiries and for providing some places of interest to visit. Property was clean, well stocked and comfortable. Enjoyed spending mornings on the screened porch watching the deer pass by.

Wow! Mark thought of everything to make us feel at home. The property was lovely and well cared for, as well as close to restaurants, groceries, etc., and beautiful hiking at Hickory Run. We spent a lot of time in the screened in porch for meals and games. We saw MANY deer on the property, which the kids loved, but no bears. Highly recommend this property!

We had an amazing stay! The house was absolutely beautiful, cozy, and had everything we needed. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Whitney Cottage is magical, wonderful place to stay. Mark is an excellent host and has stocked the cottage with everything you need to have a great stay. We loved how it was decorated and loved spending hours outdoors on the deck. It's a very peaceful place to relax and enjoy watching the deer and chipmunks. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and cannot wait to return myself.

Truly enjoyed our stay at Whitney Cottage. The only suggestions I would make is that we would have liked curtains, considering there were some young people wandering the neighborhood outside the house one night and the fan in the master bedroom needs to secured better. It wobbles too much. Other than that, we were very happy and plan to come back.

A charming cottage in a great location with countless activities in the area. The host is prompt and responsive. The cottage is fully stocked and absolutely cozy. A comfortable home-away-from-home vibe with lovely accents inside and out. Would definitely stay again, 10/10!
