We booked Hale Joli for a family gathering with folks coming from the mainland and Europe. The pre-arrival information and check-in was super-smooth and the property welcomed us with lights and bit of music, making it easy to gain entrance and feeling at home right away.A quick check confirmed that everything was taken care of flawlessly, with absolute precision and attention to detail. Clean rooms, plenty of towels, pool towels, a starter kit, etc.The guidebook tells us that the owners use this property themselves. And we could tell!The kitchen is accommodating to a few people working together and we were so excited about the grill and fresh fruit from the garden (!!!) that we actually ended up doing all of our meals at the property.The property is spacious, so even with us 8 we did not feel cramped at all, we each could recede into our own space inside or out. Location is fantastic. Close enough to town, but far enough to feel secluded and as if in a private resort.We had to get used to the beautiful wildlife songs and noises, but after a few hours they were just a lullaby.Overall it was one of the best stays I had with a VRBO (or any similar site) host and property and would highly recommend it to anyone.Price of course can rarely be judged objectively for anyone else. For us it was good value and we would come back - if they have us!

It was a beautiful house with a magnificent view out to the ocean. It was a very peaceful retreat tucked up in the hills but just minutes away from town. Our family had a great stay and we are sure you will as well.

A little oasis away from home

Property was beautiful both inside and out. If we weren't swimming in the pool we were exploring the gardens or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen. Property was clean and well stocked with many supplies that were needed to make you feel at home. The area that the home is located was beautiful and private. Wonderful memories were made and we were sad to say goodbye. We only had one issue with the stove but it was addressed almost immediately and someone stopped by to take a look at it.

Hawaiian Escape

The view was wonderful and the home had an island feel with the tree frogs chirping at night. All the beds and pillows were very comfortable for our group. I really appreciated that there were beach chairs, beach/pool toys and beach towels that we could use. The grounds are well over an acre, so no neighbors right next door. This house sits up high and was most of the time cloudy and cool, therefore we didn't use the pool much which was unfortunate, but that just weather. The kitchen was well equiped for out needs and used the grill. Truly a beautiful home!

Just Delightful

We only stayed here for a few nights but were sad to go. The property is lovely, very comfortable bedrooms, great pool, sunset views from the lanai are superb! Highly recommend and would love to return some day!

Paradise!

Gorgeous house, stocked with amenities and close to amazing beaches and food. Pool and view are definitely 5 stars! Highly recommend.

Beautiful location and home.

Beautiful location and home. Use Google maps as we found Apple Maps isn’t as great in Hawaii. We swam in the pool day and night, enjoyed sunrises and sunsets from the deck. Grilled and cooked many home made meals and generally, just relaxed in this serene environment. Quiet at night - frogs, etc. can be heard - but little traffic or neighbor noise. Plenty of room for a family to spread out. Also, loved watching movies in the cozy sitting area. Overall this is an upscale location with lots of amenities. Walking around the neighborhood and property we also found lots of fruit, vegetables and scenery. Love that they have beach gear for use, plastic wear for the kids and bathtubs as well as showers. Beach and pool towels available and an absolute must was the onsite washer and dryer. Definitely recommend!

Amazing Stay

This property was amazing! Understated elegance is how I would describe this property. We felt transported to a different place…and it was magical! Bedroom doors are accessed from the outdoors, which may be an issue for younger visitors, but was fine for our family! Close to town, yet feels remote and perfect. We will be back!
