Chappy cottage with private beach

A stone's throw (approx. 200 feet) distance from the doorstep to your own private beach area on the Pocha Inlet next to the famous Dike Bridge. This private beach area has remarkably calm waters and is perfect for small children to play safely, to relax and read a book, or to launch a kayak or paddle board to explore the coastal tidal inlets. Additional beach access via a short walk (approx. 500 feet) to the Dike Bridge East Beach entrance. This 3 plus bedroom, 2 full bath Chappy Cottage is newly furnished and fully equipped for you to enjoy all the amenities this prime coastal location has to offer. A private outdoor shower, bbq grills and beach chairs are on site and available for you to start enjoying your vacation without delay ! The first floor eat-in kitchen is open to the living room with counter seating. A first floor bedroom is equipped with a queen bed and en suite bathroom with bathtub. A second bedroom is located on the second floor with a queen bed. The second floor family room captures water views and is equipped with a sleeper sofa and additional access to the deck. *This room is labeled primary bedroom on the floor plan sketch but can be utilized as a family room or as sleeping quarters, if desired, depending on the preference of the particular rental party. A full bathroom with a shower is accessed via the hallway with a bunk room accessed through the bathroom. The bunk room is equipped with a lower level full size bed and a twin bunk bed above. The living room on the lower level has an additional small sleeper sofa bed for overflow guests. The upper level deck can also be accessed by the lower level BBQ grill area and is perfect for relaxing, dining or simply enjoying the coastal surroundings and water views. The yard is primarily level and gently rolling topography suitable for recreational activities and games with ample parking for 8+ vehicles. Mytoi Japanese Gardens are within 1000 feet, expansive land trust hiking trails are located throughout the neighborhood. The Royal Chappaquiddick Golf Course is located nearby with a 9 hole golf course open to island visitors. The Edgartown Ferry is 3 miles away providing access to restaurants, shopping, and a wide variety of activities within the Edgartown Center and the surrounding Martha's Vineyard Island. Chappaquiddick is popular for those who wish to escape the traffic, congestion and crowds on the main island and seek a more relaxed coastal vibe, incredible beaches, and abundant natural surroundings with arguably some of the finest fishing on the eastern seaboard. The cottage in not a luxury retreat, it's simple and full of old-fashioned charm. A cozy, no-frills getaway where the real amenities are right outside your door, Come for the views, private access to Pocha Pond inlet and the magic of the location- this is simply your home base. Car reservation is a must so book early with steamship authority.

Outstanding location and great views especially while eating dinner on the upper deck. Vito was responsive and we were able to check in a few hours early which was a great benefit. The home was comfortable for our family and provided a great base for accessing the Cape Poge beaches.

The location of a private beach in the salt water fed pond and the feeling that the ocean beach is all ours. Plus how quiet the house is, even with the road to the beach so close. In a bird sanctuary. We go for the peacefulness of the wonderful little house.

Great location - perfect for our family with little kids. Water they can wade in and the main beach nearby. Although by no means would this be bad for folks without small kids - the main beach is right there and lots to do on Chappy, while still feeling very relaxing and off the beaten path. Thanks!

Fall quietude

This cottage was the perfect little getaway for our family to base our first visit on Chappy. We loved being able to walk to the beach and appreciated the cleanliness of the cottage as well as its charm.

family birthday trip

What a wonderful time we had celebrating my son's 14th birthday on the off season Vito gave us some fishing tips on where to fish and all boys caught plenty of blues which was very exciting.Besides being a perfect fishing trip the house was well stocked and spacious.

Unique Getaway

My family stayed at this property and had a great experience. We've stayed in Edgartown many times over the years, but this home offered a very unique experience. There's easy access to the hustle and bustle of town for those who want it, and a serene beach, kayaking and beautiful views for those who don't (separated only by an adorable one minute ferry ride). The house is rustic but comfortable - a true Cape Cod cottage vacation. Be sure to get up early and catch a sunrise - we enjoyed it with a family of deer.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. You can't beat the location if you're there to drive oversand and tour all the beauty that Chappaquiddick has to offer. The home was clean and had all the necessary amenities. Communication with the owners was prompt and comforting. We're looking forward to future stays!

We loved our stay at the cottage! Perfect location and such a cute, seaside cottage. The bedding was so soft and comfortable. Loved having the Turkish beach towels! We played board games upstairs in the family room every evening! It was stocked with plenty of reading material about the island and even had bikes & kayaks for us to use! Can’t say enough about this place! We loved it! We will be back!

Absolutely amazing space

This cottage was cozy and had amazing views of the ocean. The check in process was simple and great communication with host. Very short walk to the beach and excellent fishing. Over sand trail was awesome. Thank you for your help !!!!
