Additionally, our home is located only 10 minutes away from the Portage Lakes and 20 minutes from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Enjoy a day of boating or fishing in the Portage lakes or explore the picturesque trails and scenic views of the National Park.

The communication was so prompt and fast which was great. The stay was good. The check out instructions were not super clear and it would be helpful if they were edited for clarity. Also we got a heads up that parking might be difficult for multiple cars. I can confirm parking is difficult for two cars. The neighbors are not friendly. But the host did everything they could do to communicate that and let us know. We loved that it was so close to the portage lakes.

Great location to New Franklin, Portage Lakes. Clean. Responsive host. We used as overflow bedding for a family home that has a large family event in the area. Didn’t reallly cook there, but coffee was provided and nice to have!

The house itself was fine for what we needed it for. However, the description of the parking and available parking was not as advertised. There was no parking across the street and the neighbors purposely park in front to prevent renters from parking there. The one time we were able to park in front of the property the neighbors called the police and we got a ticket for our vehicle being only a few inches in front of their property. When we asked the host about it, she suggested we park in the neighbor’s driveway that had a big sign up that said “Vrbo people, do not use this driveway.” A positive was that the host was willing to allow us to check in a little early because we were in town for my wedding. However, she did not respond to numerous messages after the parking situation was brought to her attention.

Thanks for your review. Yes, the neighbor tries to make parking difficult, but there is street parking as well as a parking spot behind the house. The ticket you were cited was because you were blocking his driveway, and you wanted me to pay the ticket. I did respond and told you that I felt that the $15 ticket was something you should pay since you can't block someone's driveway. You can park along the street or behind the house, and I have made that as clear as possible in my listing and welcome packet. I wish the neighbor weren't difficult, and we are trying to kill him with kindness. So far, it isn't working, but we will not give up. Love will find a way! :) Happy 4th of July! Available to answer any questions even on Christmas Eve. The only downfall of the place is the parking. We were not able to park in front of the house on the street because the neighbors truck was there. I do not believe that the renters should be the ones to ask them to move their truck.

Bedding and linens were great. Closet in the bedroom is really big which is very helpful, but needs a light. The two bedrooms on the first floor, and the three bedrooms on the second floor were great for our sleeping. The parking was not ideal, no driveway, and the overall kitchen could've been better. The dining table only seats 4 comfortably. Initially there were not enough cups and coffee mugs and once we notified the host, which he told us he's not sure what happened to them, he came two days later and brought new ones. There also were no paper plates, paper towels, and napkins. The host informed us they do not supply those too prevent waste in the landfill, so we bought them ourself. They did bring some napkins when they brought them cups.

Great for groups

This house was perfect for our family group of eight while in town for our daughter’s wedding. The five bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The house is clean and inviting. We would recommend this rental if your in town. Janelle is a wonderful host.

Home away from home!

Very clean, plenty of supplies to get us started. Four sisters ages 50’s-68 from Fl for our nieces baby shower. Close by, plenty of restaurants and a great trip for us all. Highly recommend & would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Wonderful!!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Barberton Basecamp! It was spacious, clean and perfect in every way. Janelle was easy to reach and an absolute pleasure to talk to. The house was perfect for family members from different areas to gather and enjoy a little vacation together.

Solid House in Ohio

Although it is a little out of the way to Akron and Cleveland, if you need a clean property with private rooms and space for a large group, this is the place to be!

Base camp for the eclipse!

This is a great location for exploring Cleveland and the surrounding areas. Quiet neighborhood. The host was communicative and provided great recommendations on food and shopping. We had 9 people - 3 adults and six kids. This is a small bungalow, one shower, but it worked just fine for what we needed.

Amazing! The property owner is a true gem! Easy to get in touch with of needed. She is amazing! The house was perfect for a get away with my family. Wish we could have stayed longer. Staying here, you should definitely try the Pap Rony Pizza, it's delicious. Excellent... simply excellent!!!!
