Kjølig og avslappende med AC på soverommene, praktisk til alle strendene i North Shore. En to minutters spasertur tar deg til Waioli Beach Park i sentrum av Hanalei Bay. Noen kvartaler unna ligger Hanalei sentrum med eklektiske butikker, utleie av strandleker (masker, brett, kajakker og sykler), marked, fiskebutikk og utmerkede restauranter.

Det hele i nabolaget, og Hanalei er et flott nabolag med en fantastisk bukt, vakre fjell, fosser og regnbuer.

Quarter mile walk to the beach (eastern side of the main beach). Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and BBQing. We picked up charcoal at the local store to BBQ. Lots of fans to keep the main area and kitchen cool. The ACs in the bedrooms were nice for sleeping. Super fun open layout of the kitchen and living room. Coffee maker was available with filters. Had some frying pan spray, salt, pepper in addition to the cooking and baking items.One of the best aspects was the backyard outdoor shower. So amazing to take a hot shower outside in Hanalei, especially fun when it was raining outside.Check in and out process was easy. Great location for the cost (not on the water but super close, walking distance).Would stay there again in the future!

The best part was how close the house is to the beach! It has a large living space and kitchen and lots of fans provided. Bedrooms are small but have AC. The beach equipment at the house needs to be replaced but otherwise we loved our stay. Nothing better than Hanalei Bay!

Overall a great stay. Location is excellent. The carpet in the front room could use a deep clean or be replaced, smells like animal pee. The shower head in the master bath is pretty worn down to the point we just used the front bathroom. The dryer also didn’t work but thankfully we air dried our towels.

The check in process was clear and effective. The house was great for a family of 4 adults. Kitchen was spacious and well stocked. The weather was mild and we did not have to use AC much. We like that this house is about 10 to 15 minutes walking distance from Hanalei town. Access to the beach was easy. We highly recommend this home and had a great stay there!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the location of this property - walked to beach and/or Hanalei town every day. The duplex is super spacious with comfy beds and very soft and fluffy towels. The shower in the en suite bath needs some attention - clean or replace shower head. Communication from management was great - they provided everything we needed and in a very timely way. Restaurants we tried and loved in Hanalei: Kalypso (somehow we ended up here 3 nights for dinner - food/drinks are good and the wait staff is phenomenal!), The Terrace - nice dinner out, fantastic food, bit on the pricey side, Hanalei bakery - great for breakfast or take away baked goods. Farmer's Market on Sat morning was fun, lots of good local vendors, and you gotta hit JoJo's for shave ice. Mahalo!

House was perfectly stocked for us! All of the updates folks requested in the comments have been done! We found the house to be in a great location. The house was a great home for us while on our trip to Kauai! It was clean and well supplied, a block from the beach, and a 15 minute walk from the shops and restaurants downtown Hanalei! The property owner was quick to help us when one of the AC units wasn’t working when we first arrived. The outdoor shower was great for all the post beach and activity rinses!

The management was attentive and responsive. The location to the beach was great. The house needs work. The stove is really hot so most of our food burned. The front sliding glass door doesnt lock and barely closes. There are red bugs allThroughout the kitchen and living area. They attack everything. The kids water bottle was covered with them in the morning. We wouldn’t stay there again unfortunately

We're sorry that these guests experienced some bugs. We are happy to report that we have had no other guests report bugs since then. We are glad that out of 129 reviews, we have a 9.8 rating. Yes, regarding bugs, we do have them in the tropics. This home receives regular pest treatment. Also all guests receive tips from us on how to remain bug free.

Needs Some TLC

Hanalei’s an amazing place and this rental puts you close enough to town and the beach - but it could be much better if the owner put a little more care into the unit. The attractive exterior is newer than others and faces an incredible Mountain View on the main road, but the layout of the oddly designed unit only affords the person at the kitchen sink (and front bedroom) this striking vista. The best? The price was right and there’s plenty of space in the open concept living area. The newish rattan furniture is attractive. The washer and dryer worked perfectly and is helpful for a Hawaii trip. “Not so great” - many parts are beyond worn and need replacement: pillows, bedding, mattresses, and tiny random beach towels.But the worst was the beach accessories closet - it was a messy, ignored area, littered with rusted chairs, leftover junk from previous guests, and sharp rusted beach umbrellas. It was emblematic of no one putting care and thought into this potentially great rental. There’s also one sad exposed light bulb hanging over the dining table where there desperately needs to be a ceiling fan & light. But the biggest negative is the claim of “AC.” This unit only has ac in the two bedrooms, NOT any in the voluminous open concept living space. This, combined with a poor cross ventilation, means your living area is HOT. At 82, with fans, it was still and HOT. Listing needs update. Centipedes in both bedrooms & ants in one also. Not awful - just needs attention.

Since receiving this review, many of these issues have been taken care of including the a new light fixture, the beach closet has been redone and there are now new Tommy Bahama chairs.

Good things first: Property manager Ray was very helpful and quick to respond. Very close to beach and beautiful views from kitchen window. Unfortunates: outdated and kind of dingy decor; house was very hot and humid when we arrived-I know it’s difficult when trying to save electricity, however, it would be nice if the air conditioning was on and the fans were going to make it pleasant. We found roaches under the sink when we arrived. We stay in many rentals and typically there more supplies. We were only given one extra trash bag; there was a very cheap bar of soap in the restrooms and no other shampoos. Shower head in primary was old and clogged. Carpets stained and dingy. Beach chairs are old and rusty - stained our swimsuits. Location’s great but the home could use a little more.
