Don't stay here!This property was not as advertised. The pictures are extremely old and do not represent the condition of the cabin. It was extremely dirty inside and out. The spider webs have not been knocked down in years. The house was not marked with a sign or numbers so very difficult to find. The porch and stairs are rotting. Some of the railing has been replaced with random 2x4 and is not in accordance with state codes and not safe. The hot tub just smelled like chlorine, we were not getting in that. There were leaves everywhere. There is no grass or anywhere for a dog to go outside to the bathroom. As for the inside the host claims it gets clean but it does not. The floors were sticky, the towels are stained and smelled, there were old coffee grounds left in the coffee pot. Upstairs there are urine stains in the carpet and the sheets had a strong perfume smell. The whole cabin was very musty and smelled like mold. We spent the first 2 hours trying to clean and get rid of the smell. I messaged the host and she refused to respond. After one night we left. I called Vrbo to let them know what was going on and Amanda responded to them and refused a refund and denied the condition of the cabin despite all the pictures I sent. We didn't care about the refund we just didn't want to stay somewhere so disgusting and unsafe.

Thanks for your feedback. As it sounds, I'd have contacted the host promptly and left immediately. This was not the case, you stayed more than half the time and then tried to demand a refund. We would have loved to have had the opportunity to review your complaints, but instead money did seem to be the remedy for all your problems. We are thankful that you found somewhere else to go & do not welcome you back. In the future before you book, check that it is not in the woods, where spiders live.

Well to start with it was hard to find- no cabin number on the property at all. The driveway was overgrown with vines and the whole property was that way- very messy out side- the deck with rockers was filthy with cobwebs everywhere & leaves all over the deck- was not enjoyable to sit out. Outside of property was not maintained at all. Once we were inside- the air wasn’t working it was 87 degrees on a 102 day- we thought it would cool off while we were gone to dinner but it did not. Called Amanda who was very nice and accommodating- she call a repair man that was there within the hour. Air was fixed immediately. By about midnight it was comfortable in there. The inside of the cabin was very clean and beautiful. The rest of the weekend was great. I feel if there is a maintenance crew that Amanda pays to maintain her cabin- she needs to rethink that because she is getting ripped off with the outside maintenance of her property. Gas grill only had one burner that worked. Just a lot of outside issues. Beautiful cabin but bad curb appeal. All the other cabins in the area were well manicured and beautiful on the grounds the big bear by the brook was not. Very disappointed on the outside. No way could we sit on the upper deck because it was nasty. Would we stay there again- no, but not because of the owner Amanda but because of the maintenance of the outside.

The host Amanda was great. However I do not think we would stay here again. We did take our 2 dogs with us, who travel often, there was basically nowhere to walk the dogs to go to the bathroom. The last day we were there our beagle walked in something in the weeds and we had to call the vet to have steroids called in because he would not stop scratching. Directions for certain things in the house would be great, how to use the thermostat, the shower downstairs is not a normal shower you have to pull down on the faucet, I had to send a message about what to do before we left to confirm we didn’t need to start the washing anything, strip the bed, etc(normally there is some type of directions on what to do). There was nothing to clean, to wipe the stove off(cleaner), to sweep the floor, everything was very basic, nothing extra. The trash can did not have a lid, which was not very dog friendly, so we kept it in the closet with the washer and dryer. The pans available for cooking were so cheap, did not sit on the stove even, don’t plan on cooking anything (I tried to make bacon and eggs), the non stick pans have coating that is all coming off, and the utensils that are available to use are mainly metal (which is likely why all the nonstick is gone). Good luck finding the cabin as well because the number is barely visible at the top of the very steep driveway. I would recommend arriving during the day so you can easily find it.

Cabin was not bad, does need major cleaning, spider web and spiders everything in the cabin, the front deck you will have to fight your way thru the cob webs, hot tub lights do not work and where it is, you have to watch the stuff falling off the roof into the hot tub. The deck is being eaten away from ants, Took a shower the first day there and 2 BIG spiders were in the corner of the shower, Parking! If you have a full size SUV, it's very hard to get turned around in the drive,(you can not back up because if the steep drive)There was enough table wear, and kitchen utensils, Over all, I would give this cabin a 6 out of 10

Host was very responsive. Cabin is outdated but cozy. Cabin needs house numbers to help identify location. The pool was closed due to storms that had hit earlier that week so we didn’t get to use it. The hot tub had dirt on the inside. Beds were super comfortable.

Definitely one for the books! Very close to Gatlinburg. Drive up isn't for the faint of heart. Driveway for the cabin sets directly in a curve and is steep. Nature we seen bears. Creek next to the cabin was a great soothing sound. Dog friendly cabin ad well but little grass. Inside of cabin was rustic with charm. This was our first time staying at this location and company. We will definitely keep this cabin on our list. Thank you to our host!

House had a good bit of dust, dirt and cobwebs on the porch and on hot tub. Booked stay and did not get any details on my stay until I had to call her the day off, she stated that I was still needing another 400 payment until she looked further and seen that my stay was in fact paid for, then she sent me all the details to check in. we also are getting charged for damages that we're already there, and dog hair that was already there, and claiming that we don’t know how to use a microwave when in fact I had a coffee cup of coffee I was warming up and it started making noise and caught fire.

Gorgeous VRBO in a private spot! We saw a mama bear and her 3 cubs right outside the first evening we arrived. Our adult kids loved the arcade games and hot tub! Thank you Amanda for your quick response upon checkin!!

Absolutely awesome stay. House was clean easy to find very secluded. We even had a bear visit while we were there. The host was very easy to reach and very accommodating.

Unfortunately, there were fleas and dog hair in the den and on us as soon as we sat down in the first 30 minutes of arrival. Sent pics, and notified the manager. They said could not get anyone to treat the unit because it was the weekend. We were going to be there 30 hours total so I told her that instead of spending my entire time trying to find a new unit/hotel, I would purchase treatment and do it myself, which I did. Spiders and crickets were in the unit, old trash in the trash can outside. The unit felt unkept as if it had sat for several weeks with no attention to cleanliness.

Thanks for your review. As a dog owner, if I went into a unit and found fleas I would immediately remove my dogs from the situation request a refund and leave. Instead you wanted a discounted stay (which you received) being a Thursday late night you were advised we could get someone out in the am, but you said you would get a treatment and you would not need additional help. Once you checked out we had a cleaner, inspector and pest control come in. No fleas. I'm sorry about the spiders and crickets, unfortunately when you stay in the woods where they live, they generally come by. Hopefully your next visit to the Smokeys you can find someone else to exploit money from.

The cabin was beautiful, well maintained, and clean. We did need to wash the dishware before use as those didn't appear very clean. The pool that was advertised with the listing was not as close as we thought it would be (had to drive up the road/mountain to get to it) and because of this we didnt utilize the pool.There was one night where we had a decent amount of rain and what my family and I think occurred is the overflow of the septic and the area smelled terrible. It only lasted that one day.

Amazing location

Perfect spot for getting into town quickly or getting on the bypass to the park. Small note, but driveway / parking area is tight, so extra large or multiple vehicles may be difficult.

We enjoyed this cabin. The brook next to had relaxing melodies, the kids and dog enjoyed it also. The pictures of the area around the cabin on the listing needed to be updated on the listing as the vegetation has grown around it.
