The 4 inch foam layer on the beds is a cooling topper designed to help keep the room comfortable alongside the AC, though we understand bedding comfort is very personal and can vary from guest to guest. If something like this ever comes up during a stay, we always encourage guests to reach out so we can try to help in real time, as we certainly would not want anyone to feel they needed to sit on the floor, especially since there are also two large chairs in the living room in addition to the sofa. We do hope you still enjoyed your overall visit and time on the island.

We're so sorry to hear about the musty smell in the second bedroom. With Kauai’s natural humidity, some rooms can occasionally hold onto moisture more than others. We always recommend using the dehumidifier setting on the AC and airing out the space when possible. Your note is very helpful, and we’ll take a closer look to see if anything more can be done.
