This rental was a total lifesaver when our flooring contractor called to start early. We needed a place close to home that accepted pets, so this was a perfect match.It’s a small, cozy apartment in an older home. As noted in the listing, it has the standard quirks of an older property, including uneven floors, varying threshold heights, and steep steps. The outside porch steps, both front and back, definitely need replacing. Please keep this in mind if anyone in your group has mobility concerns.The Good: The location is fantastic. You’re right downtown, yet it remains quiet. It’s a short walk to local shops, restaurants, and the town common, which is great for dog walking. Communication with Chris was seamless, and check-in/check-out was completely hassle-free.The not-so-good: There are no ceiling fans, which would be a great upgrade to help the apartment feel less stuffy. There are air conditioners in the bedroom windows but none in the living room. The bedroom windows face neighboring windows and have curtains. Shades would be a big improvement because closing the curtains at night blocks the AC. We managed with some shower curtain rings we found in the closet. The furniture in the living room sits very low and isn't very comfortable. The apartment gets very little natural light, and the decor doesn't help.Overall, for a short stay, it’s a convenient option. I’d recommend it if you can deal with the quirks. We would stay here again.
