Your points are well taken. We always provide starter kit & have at least a few beach towels in the unit. My managing agent will find out from the cleaning crew why this was not in your case. We would have been more than happy to bring them to you if we had known to ensure your comfort. Our inspection team should have double checked to ensure the supplies were all there prior to your arrival. We apologize and will do better. The small bedroom is a fact at every Kona Reef one bedroom unit. Some owners opted for queen beds to allow more room for luggage. We have a cal king as we believe guests prefer the comfort of the largest bed. The thick quality Sealy mattress & a mattress pad for extra comfort are likely added to its height. Kona Reef is on prime real estates in the beautiful resort town of Kona where space is at a premium. In return, it offers unparalleled ocean front view (less than 25 ft. from the ocean) away from the hustle & bustle, yet has the unbeatable convenience of easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, tourist attractions & nightlife, etc. Other condo complexes might afford larger units but most require long commute time to Kona town in heavy traffic and none have the jaw dropping unobstructed ocean front view that Kona Reef can offer. Therefore, Kona Reef direct ocean front units, especially the few on the top floor such as mine, remain the most sort after. Aloha! Thank you for your review and giving us a chance to respond. We are elated you love the gorgeous oceanfront view from our condo unit. We are very sorry you don’t like the bed and decors. We would have done our best to make it right if you had mentioned during your stay. The mattress is a high-quality thick California King Sealy mattress built for extra space and comfort. Based on feedbacks, the overwhelming majority of our guests loved the extra space and comfort of the bed. Zero guest (past or present) has ever complained about the mattress springs. How it feels sleeping on a mattress is also subjective, one person considers it soft while another might find it hard or just right. As far as decors, we posted 50 photos including closeups of the interior decorations so travelers can decide whether our condo unit is right for them. Many guests loved the decors, some were mentioned in the reviews. So beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. We would have offered you a mattress topper for additional comfort and temporary remove any decorative items you don’t like had you mentioned it during your stay. Please accept our sincere apologies. We are glad you like our oceanfront unit but sorry the bedroom was not cool enough for you. As per listing, bedroom does not have dedicated AC unit at this time as it never gets too hot because of strong winds off the immediately adjacent ocean, and, if needed, cool air migrates/circulates from our oversized living room AC system. We also installed high speed ceiling fan over cal king bed, quiet yet powerful for sleep comfort. No report on lack of airflow in bedroom thus far. Yours was the first. In fact, we have just earned another 5 star review from the guests who stayed soon after you left, and feedback/reviews from other guests have also been overwhelmingly positive. So, thank you for letting us know. We will plan on installing AC in the bedroom when doing a total remodel. As you might expect, rent will price higher for that reason. Currently we are the most attractively priced oceanfront unit in the complex. With aloha! Owner
