Perched in the solitude of nature, our ridge top cabin offers a picturesque view at one of the top elevations in all La Crosse County. Cozy up to your loved ones, relax with friends, or find inspiration in this luxury cabin in the woods. Pine Knob cabin is named after Pine Knob Summit located four miles northwest of the cabin. Pine Knob sleeps four and is non-smoking. Get your front row sunset seats on the private patio and relax by the fire. Immerse yourself in the tranquility and come stay us.
Pine Knob is a cozy luxury cabin located on a ridge top at one of the highest elevation in all of La Crosse County. The 20+ acre property has 7 retreats along the same ridge-line and hiking trails throughout (Feel free to search on your computer High Point Retreats in Mindoro, WI for more information).
Fully stocked, Pine Knob includes all item amenities except groceries and toiletries. We do supply salt, pepper, select coffee, tea and hot cocoa for the Keurig, tinfoil, ziplock bags, pam spray, and all-in-one shampoo/body wash. Please note: Pine Knob does not have its own outdoor fire pit, but there is a community area fire pit to enjoy on the property right down from Pine Knob.
We do allow two well behaved trained dogs at this retreat for an additional fee. Just indicate the number of dogs on your reservation. We ask that you inform us at the time of booking if you will be bringing a dog(s). We also kindly ask that the dog(s) not be allowed on the furniture (dog beds and blankets should be brought to ensure furniture protection), not disturb any other guests on the property, kept in good control, kenneled if left unattended, and not be tied outside. An additional fee may incur for unusual degree of cleaning including waste or shedding and/or damages. No other animals allowed besides dogs.
The cabin has a smart lock system that allows self check-in. Prior to your stay you will receive a 4-digit code for entry. Check-in time starts at 4pm and goes until 11pm. Please note limited help is available if issues arise during checkin after 9pm. Check-out time is no later than 10am.
Please note that dogs have been present within this cabin for allergy purposes. Wifi speed goes up to 20Mbps and can allow for streaming of a device. Property hiking trails are a combined approximate 1.5 miles and are looped trails.b

Very steep parking spot, but we also drove a truck. (Maybe better with a car) The cabin was clean, smelled good and the view was beautiful! The couch was a little hard to get comfortable and we did have a run in with black ants, however I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is not handicapped or has trouble walking. The rock steps down to the cabin do not have a hand rail and could be tricky.

Beautiful cabin with a great view. Remote and quiet location. The place was clean and neat but maybe they forgot the last minute details??The bed in the loft didn't have any bedding on it. There were presumably dirty linens and towels in the washer and dryer and dishes that had been washed were still sitting out on the counter. Check in was easy. We walked some of the trails on the property. They were marked well. It was a nice hike through the woods.Even though it seems the cabin wasn't quite ready when we got there, I would recommend it and would go back again.

This is our second stay here. The view is incredible, the cabin peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend these cabins for a comfortable retreat in nature with all you need of the comforts of home!

Whether you are exploring High Point Retreats property hiking trails and Community Area or nearby activities, a wide range of adventures awaits you.
Prior to opening in September 2020, High Point Retreats was something that owner, Tim Adamson, wanted to share with as many people as possible. Tim wanted others to have the reconnection to self and their loved ones from the simple act of unplugging and connecting with nature that he has enjoyed for years. Tim's personal touch and vintage antique collection is carefully crafted in each retreat. He is so glad to share his beloved property and hand-built retreats with you!
