I hate to leave less that great reviews, but I also feel I need to be honest for future renters. The Good: Walt was great, but he works for rental management. He does not own the house. His communication was good with lots of useful information and quite accommodating. His response time was great. My issue is not with him. They have on demand water heater. The fire pit and firewood was also niceThe Bad: When we got there, it appeared that it had not been rented for a while, or they just need to find a new cleaning crew. There is a smell that you will notice as soon as you walk in the door. On the surface it didn't seem bad, but the floors were really dirty. Not just under or behind things, but the floors in our bedroom were so dirty, I had to wipe my feet off before I got into bed. Pretty gross. Also, this is Tennessee. You need to have a pest control service. If they had one, they need to find a new one. Spiders everywhere. In our bedroom alone I'll bet I dispatched 7-10 spiders. They're were spiders in the cupboards. I dispatched a HUGE spider in the bathroom, as did my son in their bathroom. The Ugly: There were 5 of us that got bit by something in the middle of the night while in bed. The grandkids got the worst of it. Its also on a busy road. Several loud cars and motorcycles zooming in and down.So as mentioned, I really don't like to leave bad reviews, but I would be doing a disservice if I did not in this case. We left a day early, even though it was paid for.
