Pros - close to many thingsEasy check in4 bedsLaundry Cons - heat was iffy and we were very cold the first couple of nights. Thankfully the cleaners brought extra bedding and space heaters.Bunk beds were very loud and squeakyKing bed the slats kept coming lose so every day we would have to lift the mattress and fix them.Stairs made a very loud noise every time someone walked on them.One day after being gone all day we walked in to a very strong septic smell. I opened the windows to air it out and eventually it left.

We had a lovely stay at this property. While the house is not huge, it was a perfect size for me, my husband, and my two boys. The location was great - we flew into Reagan and were in the house about 12 minutes after picking up our rental car. The property had a driveway that made it easy to go where we wanted and never needing to worry about parking. We were about 10-15 minutes from the National Mall depending on traffic and there were tons of food options and grocery stores close by. We were able to connect our Amazon Prime and Youtube accounts to the TV and enjoyed playing pool downstairs. The one very minor comment that I would have is that there really wasn't a place to hang up wet towels after showers. Maybe some hooks either in the bathroom or in the upstairs bedrooms would help. The closest hooks were by the front door and down to the basement. Some in the bedroom o0r possibly in the closets would help. We had great communication with the property owner and they truely seemed to care about our time. I would recommend this property highly.

Specifically booked this place for the bath tub but the. There was no way to plug the drain. Tge kitchen was a little sparsely furnished with silver wear for a family of 4 and no way to plug the kitchen sink to wash dishes.

Great Place in Arlington (VA)

High praise for this great rental in Arlington (VA). The location was awesome, and the house was sized perfectly for our family. The place had everything you need for a comfortable stay. We decided to rent a car to tour the city and the mall, which we found to be much more convenient than taking the Metro or Ubers. Unfortunately, the heat index was 115 when we were in town, so we didn't get to enjoy the back outside area, but it looked beautiful. The house was a great home base for our DC adventure trip.

Great home and location

This home was a great stay for our family vacation in the D.C. area. All the rooms were comfortable and clean. We only wish it hadn’t been rainy during our stay so we could've enjoyed the back deck.

Engagement Party weekend

Calming Stay was the perfect spot for us to be involved in all the excitement of our son’s engagement weekend but provided us with a relaxing sanctuary between events! There was ample off street parking for two cars. The house is even better in person than in the pictures! The main living area allowed the four of us to gather and chat while the three bedrooms allowed everyone a place for a quiet moment. The basement pool table area was a great spot. The outside area in the backyard is decked and great for a morning cup of coffee. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. Easy access to DC by car, metro or bus. The beds and couch are all modern and comfortable. Communication was easy and check in was a breeze. A great place to stay.

Fabulous spot for a Graduation weekend stay for our family of 4 Grandma! Plenty of space and loved the downstairs pool table for the teenagers. Close to multiple shops and restaurants and a quick/easy drive into DC and Bethesda where we spent our time. Thank you!

Great little sanctuary during family trip

We came to bury my great uncle at Arlington with honors and this was a great little house for my husband, kids, and my dad to have a peaceful basecamp inbetween activities. Thank you so much for the use of your home!

Perfect DC Home Base

We LOVED our stay at this CLEAN property. Excellent, communicative, host. The duplex was stocked with ample kitchen and bath starter supplies and the beds were comfortable. Lots of nearby dining options if needed but we made most of our meals. The Ballston metro station is just 1.5 miles away with plenty of places to park to head into DC for the day. If you are bringing your dogs, like we did, note the backyard is fenced but there is no grass. There is grass in the front yard and the neighborhood is lovely, charming and filled with friendly people also walking their dogs.Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A "Capital" of a DC Trip

This was a wonderful property for my family to stay in for a week long vacation trip to Washington DC. After long days in the city, coming back to "our Arlington House" was like a refuge of rest & relaxation. I appreciate the contact with the owner/host. I received helpful instructions & reminders that made the week stress free. Upon leaving, the host went out of her way to make sure I was able to get all of our items (even a couple that were left behind). Our children loved the bottom level room with a pool table. My son and I shared a memory of learning to play pool for the first time. Traveling with a family, the washer and dryer was so nice to have. When we arrived, we had a welcome basket on the kitchen table (snacks, drinks, and even popcorn for a movie night). We also had a variety of coffee pods (K-cups).My daughter loved the outside space. She would go outside to read in the hammock and we got to play a few games of Jenga. For our toddler, I appreciated the backyard space was enclosed. I was able to allow him to roam around and discover things without any worries. We had ample supplies provided (paper towels, toilet paper, dishes, utensils, garbage bags, ets). I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to the DC area. It was really nice for my family.

Perfect location for a DC vacation.

This property was perfect, in every way for our DC vacation. Located conveniently from the district, it only took us 20 mins to drive into the mall each day, at rush hour.The host went out of their way to ensure we felt as comfortable as posaible in the home, and we did. Fantastic property. 10/10 would book again
