Beautiful views, not exactly as described

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Outstanding views and easy access to gorgeous Doran beach from this home. Very little privacy due to lack of trees and proximity to neighbors, I would not pick as a honeymoon destination. The home was mostly adequately set up for our family of five, but not as described in the rental listing. There is no king bed in the loft, which we were counting on a part of our sleeping arrangements. There is a twin trundle bed in the loft which could be converted to a king I suppose, but the home does not provide a king bed converter, nor any extra king size bedding for use. The kitchen is very pretty, but we found it lacking in some basic supplies (like salt and pepper) that made any sort of complicated cooking challenging. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would choose a different home for our family the next time we are in the area for these reasons.

Glad you stay was good. Sorry it was not the perfect fit for your group. We do advertise that the hideaway bed upstairs is not for use as a bed. Nobody really has trees as they would block other people's view of the ocean. Please call us if you need anything during your stay. We will happily help or bring you what is needed. Review from guests that departed just before your arrival. "We usually spend the 4th of July in Dillon Beach, but this year we tried something new. We were so pleasantly surprised by the absolutely perfect experience at Sea Casa. It was truly the best way to spend the holiday with our family." Thanks, Stace

Property was beautiful. Unfortunately, one of the beds was so hard, it was unusable and we had to bring in an inflatable mattress. Cushions were missing from the chaise lounge deck, making them unusable.

Excellent near-home escape

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We live in the center of Silicon Valley. This home is a lovely near-by escape with comfortable accommodations. We are only two people, so the place was very spacious. We enjoyed the hot-tub after long hikes. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped for those of us who do our own cooking because of dietary restrictions. My suggestions for the owner/manager is to buy a new mattress for the master bedroom (scooching towards the center helps for now). The master bedroom is in need of a shade or other window covering for one upper level window. The morning sun will wake you up (this was in the autumn).

Great modern house with stunning views, fantastic kitchen, and comfy beds. As one other review noted, one of the 3 bedrooms is an open loft space with a daybed that converts to a bed, with no noise or light protection. This was a bit tricky for us with young children, but if you’re traveling with folks who are aware of the dynamics, it shouldn’t be an issue. Deck and hot tub were delightful!

My husband, I and our 2 grown sons stayed 5 nights. The house was clean and great for the most part. It was centrally located for all the places we visited. Loved the large deck but it rained quite a bit so we didnt get to use it as much as we would have liked. The hot tub was wonderful after long days of hiking. The washer and dryer were nice to have but could use a good cleaning. The kitchen was beautiful and very well stocked, could use more lighting. The King bed in the master (the description says Q) was very comfortable. Would have been nicer to have the ensuite but it was right outside the door. The other beds were ok but not the best for grown men. The loft has a nice pullout couch and the bunk beds in the other room have very thin mattresses, bottom one is almost on the floor so would be great for young kids. The only other complaint is the floors creak when you walk on them so its hard to be quiet for the person sleeping in the loft. It was fun to hear the seals barking from the island you can see from the living room. Our sons hiked both the trails in the neighborhood and said it was worth the trip. Locally, we ate at The Boathouse, The Birds Cafe, Spud Point Crab Co and The Tides. Would highly recommend all of them. Places we recommend to see:Bodega Head Doran BeachArmstrong Redwoods State Natural ReservePoint Reyes Lighthouse, Chimney Rock, South BeachMammoth Rock and Sunset Boulders (hike down, it's worth it)Goat Rock Beach
