There are definitely some issues going on with this rental. The bathroom fills with a scent of raw sewage if you keep the door closed like we did to keep our dog out. You couldn’t even breathe in there with the window opened. I failed to read all of the reviews before I booked it and it seems like I’m not the first person who has had this problem. It is dog friendly, which is wonderful however it is about 15 feet from a road that is 55 miles an hour which makes things very loud with the thin walls of the building. It sounds like the cars are going to drive straight through the building all through the day and night. It is a cute place and pretty clean. We did have to rewash the dishes before we used them because they were not completely clean. The bed was comfortable. This place is convenient to Pipestream State Park and not far from new River Gorge national Park, which is why we were visiting. I don’t think I would stay here again unless they actually fix the septic/sewage issue because the smell was really bad. We actually considered leaving in the middle of the night, but it was too far to drive home so we just stayed until first light and then left.
