Service and the wifi here is awful. Couches and floor were dirty and they were very limited on things like paper towels, soap, etc.

Our problems were primarily with the WiFi, Cable TV and customer service. We rented the house for 7 nights. It's in a great location and is very roomy with a comfortable floor plan. The beds were very high and were a little difficult to navigate. On day one, the WiFi and cable TV did not work. There was zero documentation about the system and it was tricky to figure out which of the three remotes worked for which hardware. We called customer service, three times. After 3 hours on the phone and trying various things, a representative walked us through resetting the router and setting up the cable TV and WiFi. Everything worked great for 2 days. On the 3rd day the cable and WiFi stopped working. Resetting the router didn't work. This was a Friday and we called customer service. The male representative said there was nothing they could do because we were "leaving in 2 days." We actually had 4 more days on our stay. We finished those last 4 days without WiFi or Cable TV. We didn't call customer service again because they were unresponsive and they never called back to check on us. There was no local support and no one ever visited the house to help us. We were extremely disappointed that the amenities we paid for were basically non-existent. We are over age 80 years and these amenities were very important to us. As an FYI, a 9 digit door code seems excessive. Perhaps a shorter set of numbers would suffice? It was a hassle to look up the code each time.

Her stay here was great the only thing that I would recommend is putting a small fence line in the backyard as it is exposed to the forest if you have dogs that could be a concern, maybe a little landscaping could help. And cleaning the front porch area. Other than that it was great

The house was pretty clean. The floors left our feet kind of black though. The grass was super tall and needed to be cut - front and back. There was bird poop all over the porch despite the nest in the front on the light (I know the birds are protected, etc). A few things in kitchen could've been a bit upgraded - not working can opener, only a few dishwasher pods, not as many pans and pots. The soap in the main bathroom was watered down. The house was beautiful and very nice and matched what was advertised online. The hot water seemed to run out pretty fast with just a few showers. The bunk bed in the kids room was loose (bolts need to be tightened) and the kitchen table also was loose (again another bolt probably needed to be tightened). Probably being picky but could potentially cause issues for people who stay. Overall we enjoyed it as it was quiet and quaint and really close to the beach. Would recommend but definitely maybe look into those to fix or improve for the price of what we paid for our stay.

House was the perfect size and decorated beautifully. Great location that is pretty close to the beach. If you like tacos I suggest Barview Jetty Taqueria. I gave this a 4 star review based on the following disappointments. Property had several lights burnt out or not working. There were no games or activities there. Back yard was overgrown and not mowed. Cable remote was not found until checkout day so couldn’t watch local news. No garage access which is not part of the listing. And no communication with an actual host only automated replies.

The property was everything that was advertised. The washer and dryer are very large, which didn't matter to us so much since we were a party of only three. We make a lot of our meals, so we were happy with the various kitchen items, including the electric griddle. There were ample utensils and dishes as well. All appliances worked well, including the outdoor grill. The owners/property managers were very responsive by email, and we never needed to call them. We did accidentally set off the smoke detector, which took a minute to reset. We should have been running the vent fan, but it's good to know the detector works.Not that these owners could have done anything about it, but there were a couple of nights where the short-term rental neighbors next door stayed up a bit too late. They made a fair amount of noise on their patio, and it was easy to hear due to the proximity of the houses.It would be good if at least one of the bedrooms had a TV, and not just the family room. If there had been more of us, this would have been a bigger inconvenience.The big dinner bell in the kitchen is a nice touch. I rang it a couple of times unexpectedly to the chagrin of the others in our party. :-)Thanks for hosting us. We'd definitely recommend, though with the caveat that the units are pretty close together, and no one should expect to "recreate" outdoors on the property. No big deal with the beach so close.

Return customer here. Unfortunately the air conditioning unit was broken so the home heated up after 4pm to very uncomfortable temps throughout the nights. Hopefully it will be fixed for the next visitors.

Great Location

Overall it was ok, we brought a movie projector to experience a movie night with the kids, but the internet wifi connection was very difficult to work with. Couldn’t complete the movie. The BBQ in backyard was unusable. We made the best of things.

Nice location, nice home. Cleanliness and supplies leave much to be desired… White shower curtain is pink at bottom, mildew/mold; Front of bath cabinets (primary) are dirty and had some kind of powder Baseboards in bath, hallways and main living area are dusty and dirty; Kitchen sink needed thorough scrubbing; Towels, both bath and kitchen are threadbare and not white Cobwebs, dust bunnies behind TV, couch, dressers Front porch, cobwebs, bird feathers all around entry light TV sound would not work, very frustrating. I solved it after 2-3 hours of trial and error; Entry door code never worked as instructions are written. When exiting to go have fun, it was hard to get the door locked. And no instructions were provided. I would like the owner to know that they have a really nice house. But quality of housekeeping/maintenance is cheapening their home. Also, providing nice quality towels and linens, paper towel and toilet paper, even some Kleenex would make me more interested in returning. As is, I probably will not return.

Relaxation in Rockaway

We had a wonderful time during our stay in your home. It’s located in a great neighborhood with an easy walk to the beach. The home was neat and clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. During our walks, we listened to the birds in the morning and frogs in the evening. Thank you!
