Our stay at Blue Bird Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a pleasant surprise this cottage was with its unique stairway, great shower, no halls just doors that opened from one room to the next all topped off with a beautiful view of the ocean. You'll never get a treat like this staying at a motel that's for sure. The only real problem we found was a missing smoke detector near the front door which left only one downstairs in the bedroom. Hopefully that will be taken care of soon.

Lovely rustic cottage. Very cozy and comfy. Wonderful to relax with a cup of coffee on the deck and enjoy a perfect unobstructed view. Private stairs (just 2 short flights) to the beach. So nice!! Thanks to Ocean Odyssey for the great communication. I will definitely be back!

Property was awesome ! Close walk to the beach ! It is right on highway 101 but you can’t hear the traffic due to the sound of the ocean & back is so nice with a deck & bbq great view !

The grandkids loved it!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the minute, we drove up and parked the car, it was a wonderful experience. Our grandchildren, who are 13, 11, and 10, were so excited about the fact that they could just take over that top floor with the two bedrooms and bathroom. And the fact that there was private beach access was the frosting on the cake! We felt like we had our own personal beach. The house was clean and in good working order. We all had a wonderful time. We will definitely consider this property again when we make future beach, vacation plans.

Blue Bird Cottage was cozy and welcoming, we really enjoyed our time there, the beach access was literally out the back door, and tide pooling, dining, and aight-seeing were all very short drives away. Ocean Odyssey was easy to work with, answered questions promptly, and we're very clear about check in and departure procedures.

Bluebird Cottage

The views are spectacular and people walking and enjoying the beach are low key and friendly. The house is a bit rustic and the kitchen small but serviceable. Perfect for two with a dog.

I had an excellent stay at Blue Bird Cottage. Check in was easy. They had a binder with house information that was very useful. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking items you would need, they provided dishwasher soap & laundry detergent, they had extra blankets, games, beach toys, everything you would need. The view and beach access are what make this place absolutely spectacular though, would 10/10 recommend.

We absolutely loved this cozy home and amazing views with a bonus private beach access! Amazingly quiet being so close to highway 101, we were pleasantly surprised. The kitchen is very well equipped, a luxury to have 3 televisions available and an electric fireplace to add to our cozy space . The home is very clean . The main shower is like a mini spa. We will definitely be back to enjoy this lovely home! Thank you for a great four night stay!

The cottage was well laid out and very quaint.The beach theme was evident in every room with trinkets and ocean colors. It was close enough to town but had the feel of an isolated cottage with a wonderful beach area. The atmosphere was relaxing and the sound of the waves mixed with the sea air, worked it's magic.

We loved our stay there. The format of the home was quite enjoyably unique. We loved the view from inside and the back porch. It was supplied with all the essentials needed. Our only concerns were the traffic on the highway at night and the squeaky bathroom floor upstairs. Otherwise we loved this rental!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ocean Odyssey has amazing customer service! We stay here every year, but the beds are all just awful. We didn’t sleep hardly at all. New mattresses, get rid of that Murphy bed... would make ALL the difference! We even went and bought bed toppers for our 5 day stay, it barely helped.

Very sorry and confused to read this review. We want our guests to enjoy their visit, and we wish we could have addressed the issue during the stay. The mattress is actually new and it has a topper. We opted for a Murphy bed to give our guests extra room and to keep it cozy. We love sharing the cottage with our guests and we hope you will come back again.

The cottage is well laid out and very comfortable. It was spotlessly clean, everything works great. You're halfway between Yachats and Waldport so there's plenty of access to restaurants, but we ate most of our meals on the deck because we didn't want to leave! We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days at Blue Bird and will come again.

Spring Break Getaway

We had an amazing time at this property. We three adults, one tween and baby. Oh and our dogs! It was the perfect space. I would recommend it for a couple getaway or family of 4. I chose the property for the enclosed front area and beach access for the dogs:) The deck in the back and the stairs to the beach were great! So easy to manage and a hose placed perfectly to wash off the sand from humans and dogs before you go back up! Are there some quirks - yes but it’s an older, quaint beach cottage ON the beach, not sure how one could complain. I loved our time there and we will definitely be booking the cottage again!
