Welcome to **Tranquil Tide**, a beautifully renovated and spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath ocean-view condo located in one of Duck’s most desirable oceanfront communities. Designed for comfort, convenience, and relaxation, this coastal retreat is the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy everything the Outer Banks has to offer.

Wake up to sweeping ocean views from the primary suite, featuring a king-size bed, private ocean-view deck, and an ensuite bathroom with a spa-style walk-in shower. Imagine opening your eyes each morning to a glimpse of the Atlantic before you even get out of bed. The second bedroom offers two comfortable queen beds, making it ideal for families or friends traveling together. A second full bathroom with a tub is conveniently located nearby for guests.

The bright, open-concept living area is designed to showcase the ocean views from every angle. Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped modern kitchen, gather around the dining table with seating for six, or relax in the inviting living room with comfortable seating and tasteful coastal décor. Two private ocean-view decks provide the perfect setting for morning coffee, sunset drinks, or simply listening to the waves.

Located on the elevated first floor (two short flights of stairs with a landing), the condo offers easy access while maintaining privacy and great views. Your assigned parking space is located directly beside the stairway, with a designated no-parking buffer that makes loading and unloading smooth and stress-free.

Additional comforts include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and Smart TVs in the living room and both bedrooms.

Sheets/pillowcases and personal towels are NOT provided in the rental fee. However, beds have pillows and lightweight quilts and blankets in closets, if needed. Bed linen and personal towel rental is available for a reasonable and additional fee and are detailed in the rental agreement you'll receive after booking the rental. Feel free to send an inquiry prior to booking if you prefer to know linen rental pricing in advance of booking.

I'm going to be honest, driving onto the property, I was a little leary. But don't worry, once you open the door to the unit, you will be glad you rented this! It is beachy, without being overly kitschy. The furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen appears to be stocked with just about anything you could need to cook whatever you want (I assume, we didn't cook, but there is a LOT of stuff there!).The unit is part of a complex of condos, and is an easy walk to the beach. Out the door, down the steps, over the dune, and there you are! Or, you can see the ocean and hear the waves from either balcony, which is perfect for a non-beach person like me!The host was excellent in communicating, and supplying details – the attention to detail in the communication transfers over to the unit itself.It is an easy walk from the property to the highway, and Duck itself is very walkable. A sunset from the Boardwalk is a MUST!We simply could not have been happier with our stay in Duck.

CBTS is a friendly, oceanfront beach condo community and is so welcoming and convenient to the beach and all Duck offers. The community is regularly undergoing improvements and we have new decking, pool, dune bridges and Pavilions to enjoy the sunrise or just chill out and watch the view. But you can do both of those from either of our ocean view decks. I have additional updates coming to Tranquil Tide despite it being full-renovated already. My family of three spent a week at Tranquil Tide. It made an excellent home base for outings both north and south along the northern Outer Banks. The apartment was clean and well-equipped, and having a full kitchen made our meal planning much simpler and more convenient. Laundry on the ground floor (6 to wash and dry one load) worked well. All of the appliances worked fine and the furnishings were comfortable and pleasant. The apartment is well situated on the beach and with a nice pool, and the town of Duck is charming and quite walkable compared to the long stretches of suburban strip mall that make up most of the commercial areas in the Outer Banks.The apartment requires either a property damage insurance rider (60 for our stay) or a security deposit of 1,500. This wasn't disclosed until midway through the booking process, and I was a little annoyed by what I consider a hidden fee. Also, the linen rental fee is sort of tucked away in the individual descriptions of the rooms and not exactly obvious. I didn't really have a problem with either of those fees, but I was a little annoyed that they weren't included in the initial advertised rate.But that is a minor quibble. Overall the apartment was excellent and we are happy we chose to rent it, and we would definitely consider doing so again if we vacation in the Outer Banks again.

We are so glad you enjoyed your time in Duck and were comfortable at Tranquil Tide! Duck is a gem of a beach town. VRBO often changes how they choose to breakdown or rollup various fees for their listings and it can be confusing when booking and also for property owners. The damage insurance rider for our property provides guests' flexibility in either paying a lower price that isn't refunded or paying a large sum deposit and receiving a refund. Both options/fees are reflected in VRBO rental cost per their current fee structure. Thank you for feedback on linen rental. We find our guests' appreciate the option to rent linens, or not, and can customize their linen rental to suit their needs. Linen rental is offered by a 3rd party, without markup, and we took steps to provide further clarification on the linen rental pricing form. Tranquil Tide was the perfect spot for our first visit to the Outer Banks for our family of 4! There was so much thought and intention put into the unit and it had everything we needed! The decor was perfect, the kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms and bathrooms had everything we needed and having the beach chairs and sand mat available was a nice touch so we didn’t have to overpack the car. Coleen was a great host, very communicative and pleasant to worth.

Unit was very clean and the ocean decor extremely charming. Everything you need for the kitchen will be there if you need it, Coleen has thought of literally everything! The property itself has a great location with amazing oceanfront views - coffee with your sunrise and wine for your sunset! Definitely would recommend Tranquil Tides to anyone looking for a relaxing beach gateway!

This place is amazing and so is the host. She has thought of everything when it comes to convenience. The place is decorated very nice and we enjoyed this place so much. we have been going to Duck for 30 plus years and we used to not have to rent. We have rented a few in Colony by the Sea and this place has been the best so far. The beach chairs are so thoughtful and a great plus! Everything you could possibly need is here. The restaurants are great and great shopping close by. Colleen is super at responding to any issues and needs and she is very thoughtful. The kitchen is well stocked for your cooking needs . We will be back, we come down every year for our Anniversary and cant wait to rent this place again.

Unit was recently updated and is perfect for a couple or a family of 4. Great decks with Adirondack highchairs for relaxing evenings. 1 minute walk to the beach. Quiet except for kids giggling while playing (who doesn't love to hear kids giggling?). Owner is focused on you having what you need. Our best VRBO experience out of 3. Thanks Coleen!
