Ocean Front, Dog Friendly, Hatteras Island, 4 BR, 3 1/2 BA 200'fra stranden

Bonnie and her family endured one of the worst nor'easterly storms the Outer Banks has endured in years....and to their credit, they never complained and simply "enjoyed" the storm and all its wonder. We kept Bonnie abreast of Dare County news, and she was ever so grateful. We would welcome Bonnie and her group back to Beach House at any time. She was wonderful to communicate with, and she always responded appropriately.

We are extremely appreciative of the 4-star review of Beach House! Upon receiving the phone call that a Palmetto had been discovered in one of the kitchen drawers, we took immediate action to have our contracted Pest Control Business return Sunday morning. They promptly arrived early and performed the necessary action/service required to eradicate any remaining Palmettos. Palmettos are common to all beaches, and we continue to take extraordinary measures to eliminate their existence in Beach House, ie, monthly spraying, regular inspections, weekly walk through by our Property Manager, etc. Beach erosion has been quite exceptional during the winter months on the Outer Banks; often caused by storms, king tides and rough seas. By summer, beaches return and all is forgotten. We travelled to Beach House immediately after the guests had departed and could not find one palmetto (spraying does help!). We also journeyed along the short path to the beach and found a drop off of about 6 feet, but mostly leveled off by foot traffic, etc. During low tide, we found the beach to be generous with ample space to lay out as well as search for beach glass, shells, etc. Finally, our Property Manager always lays out bed linens at each bedroom (as do most Property Managers), to significantly reduce time in getting rental properties ready. Thanking our guests in mentioning kitchen perks, bedroom ocean views and wrap around porches at Beach House.

Thank you so much for the detailed, thorough and 5 star review of our Beach House. We have owned this property for 10 years, and each year we try and try to make the property better and better...lots of painting, new furniture and bedding, new siding, decking, etc .etc. Yes, Beach House sits between the KOA and Hatteras Camp Grounds...however, a good 200 yards on either side and never any issues during the summer! Beach House is ideally an oasis, with lots of private space for our guests to spread out and enjoy the Ocean (our many, many reviews will attest). Thank you for also mentioning where Beach House sits in Rodanthe...ie, literally halfway to Nags Head (20 miles) and maybe a mile or too further to Hatteras, south on Hwy 12,.. great scenic driving along the Hatteras National Seashore. Beach House once had a Hot Tub; however, most of our guests never used it or abused it....our Insurance Agent recommended removing it due to some liability issues. Beach House does have the Jacuzzi Tub but it is rarely used and/or mentioned in any review. (We have since removed Hot Tub from our VRBO web site). So glad Jennifer mentioned sand spurs...usually found in the front grass area...BEWARE...because these little spurs are really painful! Again, thank you for writing the review of Beach House.
