Great secluded place to come visit Gettysburg especially if you have dogs. everything was clean, and the host was easy to communicate with. Beautiful property and was a great stay! Would stay again.

This is the perfect place for peace and quiet with my fiance and fur baby! So close to Gettysburg too! The hot tub is great especially after a long day of walking tours. This is our second stay and we will definitely be back!

Excellent location. Observations:The property needed lawn care to include driveway. First impression is real. The living room furniture (love seat) is uncomfortable at best. Not ideal for 6’ and taller. And there are no other options. Consider some recliners. The commode was inconsistent when flushing (water filling in). Solution was to turn the water source on and off. The “lazy susan” kitchen cabinet door isn’t properly attached (needs tightening). Overall, tons of potential. Host is an excellent communicator and easy to deal with. Again, excellent location. We checked out 2 days early due to comfort issues. Anthony

Thank you for noting that I was an excellent communicator and that the location was excellent. I was therefore surprised to read these concerns for the first time in your review. Upon arrival, you were specifically asked to inspect the cottage and contact me if anything was not as expected or if you needed anything. No concerns regarding the toilet, cabinet, furniture, or property were reported during your stay, so I was never given an opportunity to inspect or address them. The loveseat is clearly depicted in the listing photographs and is the same furniture that was present when the reservation was made. The cottage is a small home, and the photographs are provided so guests can determine before booking whether its size, furnishings, and layout meet their individual needs and preferences. Your only communication regarding your early departure was a text sent several hours after you had already left stating that you had checked out “for a variety of reasons.” No specific problem was identified at that time. I take legitimate maintenance concerns seriously and respond promptly when they are brought to my attention. Unfortunately, I cannot address an issue during a guest’s stay when it is not reported until after departure in a review.

This property was perfect for a couple’s getaway. The host thinks of everything - lots of nice little touches throughout. Love the animals on property. So close to Gettysburg but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Would stay again!

Beautiful little oasis for a quick getaway. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. The hot tub was delightful; we were even provided robes and slippers. Perfect place to sit back and relax with good restaurants and attractions nearby. Elizabeth was the perfect host, we even got to feed the donkeys, horses and of course peanut. Hope to get back in the late fall.

Elizabeth is such a sweet heart. House is in a private area secluded. House was very clean. Pet friendly. Hot tub is included with an extra charge. Wish we could have used it more. Gettysburg kept us very busy exploring the history of the civil war. We will definitely be back.

Very clean and well equipped. Host takes time to include really nice touches, like pet basket, well stocked kitchen, bathroom amenities, fire pit etc. The property was beautiful and private and very dog friendly. Perfectly located for our Gettysburg getaway. The host was also very responsive and great at communicating.

This little cottage is just perfect. We felt like we were so far away from the hustle and bustle. If you are looking for a sweet little, quiet place to just kick back, this one is for you. The cottage was decorated so sweet inside and out. The kitchen was stocked with what you need. The owner had mugs in the freezer for our cold beers A. It was a short drive into all the town stuff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the hosts for fulfilling all of the little things.

This was my second stay at this location with my dogs. Always very clean and has all the amenities that you need. Safe and comfortable for a single traveler and her dogs. I love the privacy of the location and the quiet farm atmosphere. I walked my dogs up and down the driveway every morning and said hello to the horses, donkeys and cow. My dogs also loved the bedroom window to watch the deer outside. It is not far from all the sites to see in the area. I will definitely book another visit in the future!

The Apple Blossom Cottage is a lovely place for a Gettysburg getaway.The host is very welcoming, the cottage is nicely decorated, cute and quaint. The view of the farm and animals made this an even better experience.I appreciated the organization of our host, Elizabeth. All guests are well informed regarding the property, and guidelines to follow before, during, and after vacation. I especially like this when looking for rentals.I enjoyed the little extras we received upon arrival.Definitely enjoyed our time in the hot tub. Elizabeth went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I needed to contact her afterwards due to forgetting something crucial at the cottage. She took care of sending it to me immediately.She was always accessible if I needed something during my stay.You definitely want to stay at this Apple Blossom Cottage when you are in Gettysburg.

This reservation required an unusually high amount of communication from the beginning. Multiple questions were raised about clearly disclosed policies, fees, and basic listing details before and during the stay, even after those items were explained. When concerns were raised during the stay, they were addressed immediately in person and resolved at the time. The guests completed their stay without reporting any further issues. Unfortunately, the guest wanted the hot tub refunded because it was her birthday and we declined. Given that after checkout a retaliatory review and dispute was initiated regarding charges (hot tub fee) that had been agreed to prior to arrival. Based on this experience, I would not host this reservation again. I would also warn future hosts.

This cottage is a dream come true vacation spot. Whatever you could want, Elizabeth has already thought of it as your host! Not only was the cottage absolutely stunning, it is stocked perfectly with snacks, board games, and very detailed instructions. She even included a page in the instruction binder about invasive lady beetles and stink bugs! Anytime I thought I needed something that I hadn't packed, it was probably stocked under the sink. She even included a little dog bed for the dog guests.The cottage was extremely comfy and homey and exactly what we were looking for on our trip to gettysburg. The outdoor area is beautiful as well. There is a paddock with some horses, cows, and goats, who are clearly very well loved and cared for. Sometimes they also have treats you can buy for them!Access to gettysburg was incredibly easy from the location as well.We will absolutely be returning yearly to this cottage.

The accommodations were great. It was clean, cozy, peaceful, and relaxing. The amenities were good, and downtown was a 10 min. drive away. It was a great getaway from city life. We would go back.
