The scenery was gorgeous! The house had everything we needed (minus food). Jerry was wonderful to work with and the house perfectly suited what we needed and was. Great layout! Would gladly stay again.

Very accommodating, responsive, and kind host. The home is very clean, well-appointed, and has fantastic views of the lake! Gerald made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant and memorable stay.

The perfect get-away for two senior couples and our Labs. Peaceful and quiet and yet only 20 min from down-town Duluth. Very spacious and well equipped with all the amenities. We were able to navigate the many stairs as the house is on 4 levels. Our host was very accommodating and met all our needs.

We rented Aug. 27-30 and had a great time. The house was very clean. It was big enough for all 7 of us to enjoy. The steam shower was amazing! We would definitely go back again.

This property was exceptionally clean and the space was great! Communication with the host and instructions on where to locate items and what to expect were clear and timely. I would recommend this property for your next vacation.

Communication with Jerry, the host, was great. The house has a very nice lake view from the front. The family spent a lot of time outside on the deck. We were grateful for the use of the paddle boat, kayak and canoe.

This cabin was in a nice location and had a great view of the lake. We enjoyed being close to Duluth but also being right on a smaller lake with the use of a kayak, canoe and paddleboat offered for us. The upstairs bedroom has a great view. However, the property is very dated and was not as clean as we would hope for our arrival. There are not a lot of updates to the property to make it feel modern and some of the appliances did not work great (dishwasher). Also, the sliding door to the back deck did not close all the way so we did not use it much to not let bugs in. There were also cobwebs covering the chairs and tables outside which did not make it very inviting to sit until we cleaned those up ourselves. I think these things could have easily been taken care of. Also, there was a strong smell of sewage when in the backyard in certain spots. Overall, this cabin had a great view and was a nice place but it does need updates inside that would really elevate the experience and it could have been cleaned better. Also please note that the first floor bathroom has only a tub (not shower).

To my fellow VRBO property owners. I absolutely recommend you do not ever rent to these people. They are pathological liars, and cheaters. We charge $75 per dog per day. They brought two dogs tried to sneak them in and made no attempt to pay for them. When I called them to ask about the dog Fee, they said they didn’t have dogs. What they didn’t realize was the manager of the house, lives next-door and had pictures of their dogs when I showed them the pictures of the dogs they said they weren’t theirs. These people are liars cheaters, and will not take care of your home. I can’t emphasize enough don’t ever rent to these people.

The owner of the property reached out a few days before we were to head out to the place and gave me a quick run down of how to go about entering the property, where to park and little extra perks. There was also a sheet of instructions about checkout and a list of phone numbers to call incase we had any questions or concerns. The space was so clean and homey. We took advantage of the wonderful upstairs shower but unfortunately did not have time to get out on the lake. We did a little cooking and baking and I was pleasantly surprised at how fully stocked the kitchen was with cookware. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely seek to come back on some future long weekend with the family to get out on the lake.

Great lake house for a quintessential Minnesota vacation. Fishing off the dock, smores by the campfire, meals on the deck with the lake view. Couldn’t have asked for me.

The house was very clean and ready for our stay. The deck with lake view is the perfect place for relaxing with your beverage of choice. The house accommodated 3 adults and 2 teens very easily. Everyone had space but also lots of common areas for being together. The host was gracious, helpful and attentive. He remembered we were in Duluth for a soccer tournament and sent a "good luck" message. He also provided lots of helpful local information. I would definitely return.

This location and the home fit our needs perfectly! We had a local wedding and we were sharing the home with the bride’s parents, so it was refreshing to have a beautiful home to wind down after 2 full days. Jerry was so helpful and informative with all my questions and I really felt he gave a sincere personal touch with his kindness. We also loved that right around the corner was a little bar with live music. We stopped by on our way home the first night and enjoyed really good acoustic music. As music lovers, that was just an extra sweet treat.

We had a good time at this property. Got beautiful views of the sky in the morning and at night from the upstairs master window. It was clean, and quiet, plenty of towels and stuff in the kitchen. Plenty of seating, and has a 3 season room for even more seating! We had no issues while staying there, tho the host was very personable, and said he would take care of any issues. If you're in the area, give it a try! Very peaceful.
