While our listing does note that the laundry is shared and coin-operated, we’re always happy to make change or provide quarters—just ask! We’re on the property regularly and would have been glad to help during your stay. Our cottage is an original vintage island cottage-- one of the last ones on the island-- and the small bathroom is certainly part of its 100 year-old character. We try to show its size and rustic charm as accurately as possible in our listing photos so guests know what to expect. It was a pleasure having you as our guests, and we’re so glad to hear that you would stay with us again. We would love to welcome you back!

Our cottage, built in 1916, is a historic property, and while we’ve worked hard to preserve its charm, insulation is one area we’re limited in improving without altering its character. We genuinely appreciate you following the no-fireworks policy—safety is a top priority for us, especially after recovering from the devastation of Hurricanes Helene & Milton. Just to clarify, I’m Alice, the owner. My husband and I personally manage our property and monitor parking to ensure a smooth experience for all our guests, particularly during high-traffic holidays. We’re proud that nearly all of our guests have given us 5-star reviews, and we work hard to maintain that level of care.
