Thanks for staying at The Lake House. We're so glad that you enjoyed the home and pointed out that the property description does truly describe what our guests should expect. The roads leading into community are primarily flat and accessible with AWD or 4WD. We truly enjoy managing this home for some wonderful owners who love it for the same reasons you mentioned. It's a peaceful getaway in both the winter and summer months. If you're looking for a serene environment to rest and restore, the Lake House is the place to be! ;)

Thanks for staying at The Lake House! It's a wonderful home in a beautiful setting that we want all of our guests to enjoy and apologize for your experience. We did isolate an issue under the home and resolved it for our future guests. We're glad that we were able to relocate you quickly during Thanksgiving travel. While the new home did not have a kitchen that was stocked like The Lake House, I hope that our future guest will find that the kitchen is nicely stocked at The Lake House. This lake front cabin maintains its rustic original character and is true to the photos.

The road is typically plowed within a few hundred feet of the driveway. We do shovel the front entry and stairs to the home prior to guest arrival. AWD or 4WD is needed for winter travel. Guests are encouraged to call ahead for weather conditions. It's always our pleasure to serve you!

The association rules do prohibit renters from using the lake but it's an amazing and peaceful place for relaxing and wildlife viewing as you mentioned. We hope that everyone will enjoy staying longer in the future. Douglas County now requires a minimum one month rental period. A month at The Lake House will be a welcoming escape for many.
