My hubby and I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary in October at the Pilot House. What a fantastic few days. The house was more than we expected, everything was furnished (lots of amenities) and was very clean! Jack was always available and had great stories about the area and the house. I would highly recommend the Pilot house and Bayfield for a mini vacation.

We very much enjoyed our stay and found the property to be as nice as we expected. There were only two of us so the room provided us with ample space, and the bathroom with included walk in closet were also more spacious than expected. Jack was very personable and made our stay in Bayfield more enjoyable with insider suggestions of things to do.

Clean and well maintained property, right in town accessible to everything the eclectic town of Bayfield has to offer. Jack was very friendly and made the stay even more enjoyable with his friendly openness. Beautiful views of the lake that made for amazing sunrise and sunset views. Thank you, we will be back!

Host greeted us when we got there and was attentive. Also communicated with us when needed. Only negative was the driveway. Very steep and not good for a low profile vehicle.

Nice clean and spacious place in beautiful Bayfield close to everything within walking distance. Jack was kind and helpful. "breakfast" was very minimal and the same everyday. Recommended for a simple and quiet stay in a great little town.

Had an excellent stay in the Admiral's Quarters! Jack is a great guy and he was an excellent host, welcoming us when we got there and showing us around. The Admiral's Quarters were clean and roomy and the house was lovely. My group enjoyed spending time on the decks. The property has a great view of the sunrises and we were able to walk down to Wonderstate Coffee in Bayfield several mornings. :) Great location so close to the ferry, shops, and some great restaurants. We did a lot more walking than driving. The house has room for parking for one vehicle per room, but just 1 block up the hill was a paid parking lot as long term as you needed that we took advantage of for our second vehicle.

This is the first time I can honestly say that the room was better than depicted in photos!We stayed in the Admiral's Quarters - it was a spacious room and the bathroom was huge!The attached deck was fantastic to sit at in the morning with coffee or in the evening sipping your favorite beverage. Watching the boats come in to the harbor and listening to the kids down at the beach was very pleasant. It's a great view of the town from there as well. The location was fantastic- we walked to everything. The host was great about giving recommendations on where to eat. We used both the king bed and the pull out bed and both were comfy.One tip- make sure you visit the Bates Art Bar and order the Butter Board appetizer- IT'S FANTASTIC.we came from atving in the southern part of the county, so I was pulling a trailer. I was able to park it 2 blocks away (unattached from the truck) for 10 a day. Very convenient.

We had a fantastic stay at the Pilot House. Wonderful views of Lake Superior, within walking distance of the lake and downtown and many restaurants. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and shared great tips about the area. The common area was superb. We had the fortunate happenstance of being the only ones renting during our stay b/c it was after the summer season and during the week. We shared the Admirals Quarters between three of us and there was plenty of room.Check-in was very easy and communication during the reservation process was prompt and clear. I would HIGHLY recommend this stay and we look forward to another stay at some time in the future.

What more do you need - a beautiful property with great views and a perfect location? It was great to visit with Jack (the owner) but he also knew to give us our space and privacy. Highly recommend this property.

Great place with huge spaces. The bed was reallllly comfortable and the bathroom was large and super nice. Jack was an Amazing host and individual. We would have loved to stay an additional night but it was booked. Highly Recommend!

Beautiful harbor view and Jack the host was very pleasant and helpful. I was in the Admirals Suite which was very spacious with a mini-fridge, AC, fan, and comfortable bed, along with additional amenities. Very short walk to downtown Bayfield and the ferry to Madelyn Island. Had a great stay! It wasn't an issue for me, but for those who are sensitive to morning light there is a skylight that does not have a shade.

The main room and the bathroom were very large! Comfy bed and sofa, great common spaces. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Jack, our host, was super friendly, helpful and all around great. We’d definitely recommend staying here!!!

Great relaxed summer getaway to Lake Superior

Spacious, clean room and bathroom. Private deck to overlook town of Bayfield and Lake Superior. Self-serve breakfast. Short walking distance to docks, museums, shops and restaurants.

Perfect location

Pilot House was walking distance from most everything we did while in Bayfield. The B & B was very clean and had everything we needed. Jack is quite the character, we loved his sense of humor. Very pleasant experience!!

Fantastic Property & Location

My two Sons and I had a wonderful stay. It was quiet, clean, well appointed, and perfectly located just a few blocks from downtown - but still high on the hill with beautiful views.

Autumn Visit

We stayed in Bayfield, Wisconsin for a few days in the autumn. The B&B was very comfortable and Admiral Quarters room was an excellent place to stay for our visit. The bed was very comfortable. Jack and Marie were excellent hosts.
