Our family really liked how small child friendly this property was. There were toys to play with, a pack n play and a booster seat. We also loved how close it is to Tahoe Donner Snow-play and downhill skiing. The only challenges were how cold it got at times (naptime and bedtime) and how we couldn’t control the heat to turn it up for our family’s comfort. Also, the walls are paper thin and when the upstairs neighbors were home, we literally heard EVERY little thing they did or said.

It’s also great that you were able to take advantage of how close we are to Tahoe Donner Snowplay and the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort — such a fun area for kids and adults alike! We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the temperature and noise. The fireplace is available to provide additional warmth and can quickly make the space extra cozy during naptime and bedtime. We’ll also make sure our house instructions more clearly explain how to optimize the heating system for comfort. Regarding sound, mountain properties can sometimes carry noise more than expected, but we are actively working on adding additional insulation to improve both heat retention and soundproofing for an even more comfortable stay. Thank you again for staying with us and for sharing helpful feedback — it allows us to continue improving for future guests. We’d love to host your family again on your next Tahoe adventure!

James and Alli are wonderful hosts. The house is immaculately clean, very comfortable, and fully stocked for families. My kids loved playing with the toys in the garage and the books and games in the loft. The baby play yard and booster seat are such a wonderful bonus when traveling with an infant. And it’s close enough to walk to the Tahoe Donner downhill ski, which is wonderful on busy weekends when the parking lot can fill up fast. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back! This is a perfect place to stay for a family winter ski trip. Very close to the Tahoe Donner result, perfectly comfortable and outfitted for a family, and accompanied by lots of lovely touches (Christmas decorations, etc.). We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again!

Perfect!

What a comfortable and well located spot for our family of four. My kids loved the toys and there was plenty of space to spread out and relax. The slopes in the neighborhood were perfect for my kids to start learning to ski and being right next to Truckee was great. We will be back!

Great place!

Very cozy with everything you need! Our kids loved all the toys and games. Beautiful location with sledding right out back. After a heavy snow we found the parking area and streets plowed promptly- this is important when visiting Tahoe in the winter! We hope to return!

Great for families with young kids

Great stay over the holidays. Convenient location, nice set up. The best is how well stoked the home is, which is so nice to have when you have a young kid. Tons of dishes, pots, etc to eat many meals and throw it all into the dishwasher. Lots of games and toys for little ones to play. Takes a load off. Thanks James for adding the small but important touches.

Wonderful stay; spacious, clean, good layout

Stayed here twice--a couple years ago and recently (a couple weeks ago). Both times, was great. The two masters are great, and the kids enjoyed their own hideout--the loft area, which has twin bunk and a pull-out sofa, and TV. Very clean, and great communication with the owner from the instant I booked to the time I left. Feels more spacious than the photos, feels like a stand-alone home. A stone's throw from Tahoe Donner. Would definitely book here again!

Tidy condo close to skiing

Came with our family of 5 to find a cozy, well furnished condo with plenty of games, DVDs, loft lounge for the kids, and functional kitchen. Easily walked to the ski slopes (9 mins). Overall very happy with the condo. Only issue: Upstairs neighbor unfriendly and inconsiderate, hopefully you can avoid her!

Perfect Family Ski Getaway in Stunning Truckee Cabin

This beautiful, modern cabin in Truckee was the ideal getaway for our family ski trip. The kids were absolutely thrilled with the amazing amenities – they had so much fun they didn't want to leave! The cabin itself was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. We loved that it was within walking distance of a smaller ski slope, perfect for our little ones to practice and build confidence. Overall, a fantastic experience and we would definitely recommend this cabin to any family looking for a memorable ski vacation!

Kids had a blast

Nice condo in Tahoe Donner

Great couple of days spent in Tahoe and this condo worked well for what we needed. Spacious (more spacious than the pictures represent) comfy and clean. Kids loved having half the garage as a playroom and we all enjoyed hiking to the cross country ski trails out back. We didn't spend much time inside and when we were inside, it's a little dark.

Great location

Walkable to ski slopes. Access to hot tub and pool at local health club was great. Garage has toys and sleds. Really enjoyed our stay thank you!

Great family vacation!

We are so grateful for Jame’s property! It was the perfect home away from home for our family’s first vacation since covid and our first time seeing snow. We are from Hawaii and spent many days in the backyard building snow people and sledding! James garage was well stocked with snow toys for the children. The playroom next to the kitchen was the kids’ favorite spot in the house! My apologies if my children were too loud for the neighbors. We got no complaints…but goodness, they were noisy and thoroughly enjoying themselves!! We also made great use of the gas fireplace, and the heated master bathroom. Sooo grateful as we were not used to the cold. Mahalo mahalo for the hospitality!!

Gracious and Accommodating hosts

We became sick at the last minute and were unable to go on our holiday. The hosts were extremely accommodating and allowed us a one-time reschedule. We were extremely grateful and highly recommend transacting with these hosts!

Winter wonderland

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We were so close to the ski resort where my daughters learned to ski! James was super responsive and the house was immaculate and well stocked. Our kids had a blast. We will be back for sure!

Perfect for family with children

We loved our stay at this condo, and it was perfect for our family (me, my husband, 3 and 1 year old kids). The kids loved the toys and the loft area was a great space for them to play. The rooms were nice, beds were comfortable and the property was very quiet. We also loved the gas fireplace! The house had most everything you would need, including soap but there was no shampoo. The kitchen was very well appointed and everything was very clean. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Tahoe!
