What a lovely place! I couldn’t recommend it enough! We had a crew and Julie made sure we had ALL the accommodations that most Hotel's don’t! Quick responses with any questions we had and every room and bed were comfy! We’ll definitely book again when we come to the beautiful town of Lockhart!

Excellent in every way

Five stars is not enough. Best VRBO we have ever stayed at. The host Julie is amazing, she accommodated our special requests around our F1 activities. House is immaculate, charming, and large. Julies’ special touches - fresh flowers, snacks, a stocked refreshment bar, did not go unnoticed! Bedrooms clean, well appointed and comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and fine for walks in the evening. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fabulous place to relax with family

Six of us stayed for a Friday wedding, and after party in Lockhart on Saturday. Many extras not usually at a Vrbo such as some snacks, drinks, plenty of blankets, towels, real plants. Allowed us to check in early to dress for the 4:30 Friday wedding. Responded promptly to all our questions. By far our favorite rental experience!

Great time in Lockhart!

We can’t say enough about about our stay! The house was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Very comfortable, immaculate and conveniently located. My whole family loved it and we all highly recommend this house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our weekend in Lockhart.

Great Place!

5 adults stayed at the property and loved everything about it. Location to downtown, cleanliness, lounging areas inside and out, lots of space. Comfortable beds, very clean, and having 3 bathroom was awesome. Owner was very nice and easy to work with. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!

A great Thanksgiving in Lockhart

Our Thanksgiving this year in Lockhart required extra room for our family. Instead of hotel rooms, we chose to rent this beautiful home in the heart of Lockhart. Julie was very helpful getting the home ready including two sofa beds downstairs for some elderly family members that could not handle the stairs to the second floor. The three bedrooms upstairs were spacious and great beds. The second bath upstairs is a bathtub only with no shower but otherwise worked well for our group as we were able to share the shower in the master bathroom. The living room and covered patio are great areas for the group to gather and enjoy the charm of this home. Julie had drinks and snacks available to us when we arrived making this very welcoming Overall this is a wonderful rental option for any family or large group that is visiting Lockart or Central Texas. We will consider this home again on future trips. Thanks Julie for all your hospitality.

Superb Southern Charm

We traveled to Austin with 2 couples and wanted a central location for day trips to Waco and San Antonio. This home served that purpose and was perfect for evening gatherings on the beautiful side porch and and large rooms to reminisce about the days activities. It’s spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable. The owners were so gracious and visited with us, answering all our questions. Everything was provided as on the description on HomeAway. We were so happy with this choice and look forward to our next visit to this area in Texas.

This home and it’s owners were amazing!

The home was rented for a getaway among parents and 4 siblings and their spouses. It was the perfect size with great surroundings in a nice and relaxing town. The owners; Julie, Carol, and Christine were awesome to work with and added all sorts of special touches to our outing and the home. Highly recommended to anyone needing great place to stay in Lockhart and we hope to stay there again, as well.

Lovely property beautifully decorated for Christmas with everything we needed

Our stay was just perfect. We had everything we needed to host a family Christmas, our Son's wedding rehearsal dinner and host out of state friends and family for the wedding that was held in Lockhart. Julie provided us so many personal touches by stocking items in the kitchen and bathrooms that we brought many things we didn't even need. Thank you for helping to make our special family moments even more special! We would recommend this property to family and friends and stay again.

Perfect in every way.

For a large group or a few close family members, The Gambrell House offers Southern ambiance at its finest. The owners live near by and will drop by to make sure you enjoy every amenity, as well as leaving special treats for you to enjoy throughout your visit.

Loved the home!

I highly reccomend! Such a perfect home! It is a beautiful with plenty of space. Right when we got there Julie welcomed us and gave us a tour of the house. There were little pamphlets and binders she made about everything to do in the little town of Lockhart, and recommended a great BBQ place. The house had board games, snacks, and bar with some goodies She even made me cupcakes for my birthday! We will definitely be back!

Respite for the Work Weary Travelers

My friends and I rented this beautiful home for a business trip. We were welcomed with delicious homemade cookies and a wonderful personal tour from Carol who not only showed us all of the special elements of the home but shared its rich history as well. It is clear that the owners thought about everything that a guest could want. It has every amenity and was a spacious and cozy space that we welcomed at the end of our work days. Julie was available at all times to answer our questions and came to our assistance at the drop of a hat! We truly enjoyed our stay here, we only wish that we could have spent more time exploring the area. My deepest gratitude to our wonderful hosts.
