We're sorry to hear the pool was too warm to enjoy — we understand how disappointing that can be, especially in the summer, and we’re currently looking into options to help manage the temperature during hotter months. Unfortunately because cowboy pools are rather small and made of metal, they can heat up quite significantly in the sun. As for the road, you're right — it’s definitely a rugged stretch, and while some guests find it part of the Hill Country charm, it can be tough without the right vehicle.
