Absolutely terrible – avoid this place at all costs!
This is without question the worst hotel experience of my life, and I have travelled for over 40 years.
Everything about this stay was a disaster.
When we arrived, we were forced to pay an additional xxx USD in cash simply because there were two of us. Together with the original booking, this stay cost us around xx.xxx NOK. For that amount, we could easily have stayed in a quality 4-star hotel in New York.
The most shocking part is that my Hotels.com reservation stated that the base price was for 3 guests. Despite this, the hotel demanded another xxx USD in cash.
I received a small paper receipt when I paid
The hotel advertises that towels are included. After a few days we asked for clean towels and were told we had to pay xx USD. Even worse, the staff didn’t even know there were two people staying in our room, despite charging us xxx USD for the second guest.
The shared bathroom was disgusting. Around 25 rooms appeared to share one toilet, one urinal and two showers. The shared bathroom was filthy. Cleaning once a day was nowhere near enough.
The staff were unhelpful and rude. The hotel ignored my messages, refused to resolve the issue, and even Hotels.com could not reason with them. I also asked for a copy of the receipt for the xxx USD payment, but they could not provide one.
This hotel completely ruined part of our vacation. Save yourself the stress
