Check-in was quick and very easy. Even though we got there after midnight, the staff was cheerful and upbeat. Our room was exactly as described and the fold out couch was already opened ready to sleep on, which was a nice touch. The hotel overall is obviously not new, but was very clean and well maintained. What was most impressive was the staff. We checked out and were on our way out of Virginia Beach when I realized that I had left my cell phone that I use for my work in the room. I called in a panic and spoke to Jasmine, who said she would go check and call me back. Within 15 minutes, she had already gone to the room herself, found my phone, and called me back to let me know. It may seem insignificant, but it was a big deal to me. Jasmine and the other staff provided excellent customer service, even after we left. We would definitely stay there again.

The location was perfect. House keeping could be better. Dishes had to be rewashed. And you had to go get your own clean towel and wash clothes.

We booked a 2 bedroom deluxe suite and ended up with two adjoining one bedroom suites which was more than fine. I wish the Jacuzzi would have been working but overall we had a very comfortable stay and loved the location.

The kitchen is very small and the bare utensils to cook with. Appliances could use an upgrade. The fold out bed was very uncomfortable and wouldn’t close/ fold back. Fridge wouldn’t get cold and the maintenance said “ you can’t put but a few things in it “ We did that and it never got cold my wife has insulin that has to stay cold. Front desk moved us into a different room late night after we unpacked fortunately the room was across the hall. This was the room 415 with the bed and cleaning issue.

The elevator was out of service, so we had to carry our luggage up and down five flights of stairs and walk them every time we left. The room wasn’t very clean—the floors were dirty, and it looked like the bed hadn’t been properly cleaned from the previous guests. The hot tub was closed, and despite staff saying it had just broken, it looked like it had been out of service for quite some time. The pool was also much smaller than expected. The balcony constantly smelled like marijuana from other guests smoking, making it unusable. If you wanted fresh towels, you had to go to the fourth floor yourself, and none of the ice machines worked. At checkout, the clerk simply pointed to a box to drop the keys in and showed no interest in helping or asking about our stay. The only positives were that the A/C kept the room nice and cold, and the shower had plenty of hot water. Overall, it was decent enough for a place to sleep, but I’d recommend spending a little more for a cleaner hotel with working amenities and better customer service.

I had to wait over 2 hours to check in, so I didn't get to enjoy a full stay. One elevator was broken and the other was excruciatingly slow. The hot tub, an advertised amenity, was broken. The room should have been much cheaper for the service we got.

Will not book this Hotel if I return to Virginia Beach. The housekeeping staff was utterly bad mannered. Rooms need a renovation badly. The pictures online are definitely not what your coming into. Also Checkout is 10am, instead of the usual 11am. So weird. Anyway, Not worth it to me!!

The property has nine floor floors, and two elevators. One of the elevators is permanently down. We learned while we’re there that it will be down for months. One day during our day both elevators were down and we were on the eighth floor. In addition, the laundry machines were broken and the ice machine on our floor didn’t work so we had to take our cooler up a floor every day on the steps to get ice. The property is old. The bathroom cabinets didn’t actually close and the water in the bathtub ran all the time.

The room was very clean, the hotel itself was clean. The “ocean front view” was amazing! The only 2 issues: 1. we were given the wrong room to start and they tried to tell us they didn’t have the correct room available. They did get the reservation fixed. 2. The elevators. One was down our entire stay. The other ended up breaking down our second day there and we had to use the stairs. I was on the 9th floor. After they got it fixed, the one elevator was so congested you would have to wait forever for it. It was always so full you could hardly get on it. We had to pack everything up the stairs most of our trip making it miserable to even leave the room half the time.

Positives: The cleaning staff is very friendly. The location is very close to the beach. Their sister resort is 20 blocks up giving you 2 parking garages to use. Negatives: Oh boy. First check in took a while since there is only ever one clerk. Apparently I was lucky for it to only be 30-40 minutes. Other guests said it took them hours. We were told during check in only one elevator was working and that the other would be good the next day. It was NEVER fixed. After talking to other guests, it turns out the front desk was telling everyone it would be fixed “tomorrow” regardless of what day they asked. I overheard maintenance talking amongst themselves that it’ll be a couple months at least. Having issues with the elevators is completely unacceptable. They had the entire off season to make sure everything was as it should be for the busy summer. The second day, the one working elevator went down also. Guests and staff had to walk up and down 9 flights of steps in a 100°+ heatwave. Including disabled, elderly, toddlers, and pregnant women. There was no compensation given for this inconvenience. The parking garage was extremely tight. Spots were placed in a way that put support beams in the way for anything bigger than a Civic. There was free coffee available in the morning, but the machine didn’t work properly the 2 times I tried it. The hot tub wasn’t working and was boarded off. I saw in other reviews it hasn’t been open for some time. I will not be back.

The location is pretty much all you pay for. The hotel pool was tiny and had a silky film all over the top. The hot tub was broken and no one was informed while booking that it was broken. Also, there was people screaming and strung out yelling down our hall way acting like they were fighting or murdering people. Very scary. Also, they have “guests” living there who send their children out to pan handle the guest. They ask for money or they sell stuff. Very disappointed. But it was clean and it was a cute room with a good location.
