Dismayed to find upon arriving the property was operated by other management so every request/repair needed to be telephoned to an unidentified person rather than the employees at the front desk. Some staff were very helpful some not so much. Some amenties were consistant some were on and off. TV and Wifi especially. Older property but room had been recently renovated.

My father and I recently returned from a stay at Sandcastles - and I would wholeheartedly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a very friendly, local, and down-to-earth stay! As we first arrived, check-in was quite simple and staff was very friendly and swift to help us learn. Every day&night the resort had great food options either up top at the Silver Sands restaurant, or at the bar near the pool; the Castle Blu, with good drinks and great staff at both locations! The Itadone Variety store also came in quite handy for some emergency late night snacks, and again the fellows who ran the store were very accomodating and helpful! I'll also mention that Sandcastles sits right next to the entrance to the ORBB- a rather nice, cute, and secure beach! Finally I'm going to shout out a bunch of amazing people who made our trip so great (in no particular order) - An-Mari at the front desk who was always happy to provide information/assist us with any issues we had, Both of the amazing Marie's who were day/night shift bartenders at the Castle Blu, Mark the chef at Castle Blu, Andrew the artist, Rasta Demus, and my man Kevin - who always kept us entertained, assisted us with anything we needed, and provided plenty of laughs & friendship, Kerry-Ann, our fantastic waitress every time we went to the Silver Sands restaurant, who always looked well after us, Finally, Jenine the great housekeeper, Paul the property manager, and Syd the lifeguard always made sure our stay was very clean!

Amazing hotel! If you want a spot that’s in town walkable to most places this is it. First time staying will definitely be back. Close too burger, kfc, craft market, the clock and also good vibes at night by the pool. Turtle park right across the street and great security at night time

Shower had no shower head and leaked the duration of the stay. Rust on the ceiling in the bathroom. When asked for toilet tissue it did not arrive for 48 hours. The safe in the closet did not work. This was for apartment A21. I had two rooms. One room was ok but A21 was terrible.

My second time staying in this unit and I enjoyed it as much as I did the first time. The property is well maintained and the unit is clean and comfortable. While I’m on vacation I still have a touch of home by being able to make a meal if I’d like, or hang out on the front patio to enjoy the breeze coming off the ocean. Will definitely stay here again.
