We had a great stay here, would happily return. Loved the location close to beach, and a short walk to Broadbeach or Surfers for restaurants. Rooms are quite small (not much room for luggage in the bedroom) but we were fine with that. The unit was clean, bright and well equipped, with lovely views.

Comfortable Stay At Surf Parade Resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Surf Parade Resort! Prior to our arrival, we were in contact with Matt at the resort to confirm our stay, and to organise a late check-in. He was a pleasure to deal with, as was the lady who completed our check-in for us the following morning and organised for more bed linen to be sent to our room. The room was clean and tidy, including an ample kitchen, comfortable living area, and a massive bathroom with a large laundry sink, washing machine and dryer. We enjoyed our large balcony facing towards the beach, and appreciated the air conditioner to keep us cool during our summer stay. We were impressed with the pool facilities, and also utilised the carpark included with our booking. The resort is located just two blocks from the beach, in between Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise. It was a nice 25 minute walk along the beach to Cavill Avenue, or the Florida Gardens tram stop is only a 2-3 minute walk away (located on the Gold Coast Highway). While we enjoyed our stay, the booking process through VRBO was quite stressful. We made the booking, and two days later, while our credit card had been debited, the payment was still marked as pending in our VRBO account. This worried us, as we couldn't just arrive on the Gold Coast in the middle of summer hoping that our booking had been finalised. We tried to contact the owner of this property, but were met with a message that they do not use this messaging system, and there were no other contact details provided. We then contacted the VRBO customer service team hoping they would be able to assist us, but this ended up being completely pointless. The first reply we received was very generic and didn't even answer our inquiry, and after emailing them for a second time outlining our concerns, we didn't even receive any communication back at all. Thankfully when we contacted Surf Parade Resort, Matt was able to put our minds at ease and confirm our stay. We would happily stay a second time at Surf Parade Resort, but would definitely not book with VRBO again.

Don’t waste your money

The hotel is advertised as a four star resort but would qualify for a two star at best. The staff is extremely discourteous, the room is shabby, and to top it all off you get only one roll of toilet paper and one set of towels for the entire week. If you need more tp you have to pay A$ 1.20 and towels are $2 each. The only good things I can mention are that the unit had a/c and a nice pool.

Good size 1 bedroom apartment

Location is in between Surfers' Paradise and Broadbeach so not really convenient to either (quite a long walk, and buses are expensive!) To call it a "resort" is quite a stretch it is a humble, modest place. Decor is very tired and could use some major cleaning! Room size is great - separate bedroom, living room, full kitchen, in suite washing machine (free!), spa tub, excellent television (tons of shows to watch!), nice balcony, bbq at pool area. Wifi is very limited. Rooms are only cleaned after 8 nights. You are given two towels one roll of toilet paper and one bar of soap for your stay so be prepared to buy what you need.

Nice quiet getaway

Close to all major attractions minutes from surfers mall and lots of public transport at the door step. Recomended for young families as the spa baths are amazing for the kids so much you'll have troube getting them out!!!

Great for Couples.

Stayed at the hotel about a week. It was pretty good overall. Requested ocean view and got it so that was awesome. It was nice and clean. It was a bit smaller than what it looks like in the photos but good size still. Only bad was our room would get hot and ac wouldn't keep it cool. Had to turn on the noisy fan which got annoying quick. Rm 61 btw. Other than that It's a great place.

Enjoyable stay

I would describe the resort as being between Surfers paradise and Broadbeach. It is close to the beach, which we could see from our 8th floor room. Checking in was easy and we were a early but the room was available. After a long flight this was most welcome.Apartment has everything you need. Seperate bedroom and large bathroom. Waher/Dryer was great.

Clean and well located

Nice clean tidy room, it's a bit much to provide one roll of toilet paper for a four day stay and expect us to buy more! You're also expected to wash all dishes and take out the trash or they charge an extra $50, so allow time at checkout! Otherwise we had a great view and the room was perfect for our needs and really close to the beach. Would stay again.

Large 1 bedroom with separate living room, and large bathroom with washer/dryer, though no one could figure out how to get it to dry cycle. Room is clean, nice balcony with beach view, walking distance to beach and food.

Surf Parade hotel

my girlfriend and i were extremely please with the setup, location and time we spent at the hotel, the hotel receptionist was very friendly and helped us out with any questions we had.... we'de definately recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting the goldcoast

An older property of service apartments, some with residents and some holiday go-ers. Everything was clean and comfortable enough, good air conditioning split systems,fans in each room, nice balcony. Parking was free underground and convenient. Was great for a 5 night stay noting there is no room service. Wouldn’t stay longer than that. But all in all a good cost effective option in a decent area between Surfers and Broadbeach.
