It was satusfactory, but overpriced. An issue with a stained carpet was not adequately dealt with. Basic, no special feel to it ascompared with other New Zealand hotels we stayed at. Expected more, especially at Christmas! Didnt feel luxurious. Adequate for an overnight. Lake view blocked with buildings with ads on then. Really just a peep view.

Pros: the property is very close to the lake and within walking distance of the main Lake Tekapo area. Cons: check-in took a lot longer than it should have, and staff seemed rather blasé. Was expecting better customer service from its other reviews. Also worth noting - they have 2 washers and 2 dryers. Don’t do your laundry here though- they’re not maintained well. The dryer took over 2 hours to get anything dry.

Overall a nice resort location after visiting Mount Cook, but at night time it’s impossible to see where you’re walking, so you need a flashlight or your phone. Also my room was so small that I literally could not put my suitcase on the floor and open it without walking into it while getting to the bathroom - so it was realllly hard tight having 2 people in the room. Kinda overpriced for how small of a room it was, especially during a low season. Thankfully I only booked 1 night!

The lights in the exterior didn’t work so it was hard to find the room. Then the first thing I saw was a can of raid, so my husband wouldn’t go under the sheets in the bed. The room was extremely small & not like the photos on the website. Very disappointing

Do not book a standard.

Do not book a standard room as it is so small you can hardly move around in the room. We found the first room had an odour and mold in the bathroom which caused my wife to have an asthma attack. We ended up in an upgraded suite thanks to the manager who was very apologetic and kind. The picture is misleading. They are not on the water. That is a picture of the pond in front of the restaurant. The staff are very nice and helpful.

Very nice hotel.

Very roomy two bedroom, two story apartment. we did not have a direct view to water, but you always have some kind of view in NZ, so can't complain. Checkin was smooth, lots of easy parking. Not a great walking area, but a good stop to allow an easy day trip to Mt Cook.
