In the picturesque countryside, within the heart of South Pembrokeshire, sits Carthouse Cottage, a two-bedroomed cottage with en-suite bedrooms self accommodation nestled in the 200 acres of Poyerston Farm and just a few miles from the stunning Pembrokeshire coast. Originally the cart house for the adjacent Victorian farmhouse, its caring owners have recently installed a mass of comfort and convenience into this character-filled retreat. Beneath the living room’s beamed ceiling, large, comfortable sofas invite you to relax and admire the view through patio doors onto the pretty, well-kept garden and countryside beyond. The patio itself provides the perfect spot to absorb the tranquillity of nature and recuperate from the many adventures to be had from the doorstep. With both bedrooms benefitting from an en-suite shower and kingsized or super kingsized beds (can form twin singles), the brand new kitchen (complete with dishwasher amongst its sparklingly new appliances), TVs, and thoughtful additions in every room, this luxury cottage places you’ll want to visit time and time again!

Pembroke and 1 mile from Carew castle. Tenby is just 5 miles away. We are very well situated for those wishing to walk the Pembrokeshire Coastal path.

Excellent accommodation on a working farm. Far better than the photographs show. It is very dog friendly. Sheila was most helpful and we enjoyed the little extras she gave us. This is a very convenient location for exploring Pembrokeshire.

She has thought to provide everything to ensure that visitors can have an enjoyable holiday. The garden is a real suntrap and it was lovely to sit out there and watch the cows coming and going. Carthouse cottage is everything and more. The owners have thought of everything you would need and more. The location of the cottage is situated on the farm but so near the beach and the wonderful sites of Pembrokeshire. We were made very welcome albeit at a distance re covit. Visited for our 2 week holiday in August 2020, 2 adults, 1 teenager and our dog Brian. Firstly i want 2 say we had a fab holiday and the cottage was really comfortable. Having tv's in the bedroom and the ability to have Netflix and Prime is an advantage with a teenager. We did find the location a slight issue with the dog as no where really to walk as the main road is so busy and noisy. Having said that there are plenty if places within a car drive. The cottage is off the main road and once Inside u can't hear the traffic, it was also lovely to see the cows come past the windows for milking. We didn't do a great deal as wanted a complete rest but we recommend the Alpaca Walk near Manorbier, West Angle Beach and Seven Spice Indian in Pembroke Dock. Lovely welcome , very friendly and helpful owner. Well situated to see Pembrokeshire but you do have to take the car for even the smallest journey . Plenty of supermarkets a mile or so away but no available corner shop and the farm is situated off a Very busy road. Great pubs a 10 minute ride away. Parts of interior need a little updating . Very dog friendly with small enclosed garden. We enjoyed our stay but given we are senior citizens a Cottage in a village would be easier. Would definitely recommend .

Brilliant holiday in a lovely cottage in a great setting. The cottage is very comfortable and fully equipped. Lots of beautiful coastline to explore with good pubs nearby. Great walks which our dog loved. Very helpful and friendly owners. Would recommend and hope to visit again.

A delightful cottage in an excellent location in Pembrokeshire. We took our golden Labrador with us and she lovely the opportunity to have fun on Freshwater East Beach, which is a dog friendly beach throughout the year. The views from the cottage are superb - the dairy herd of 300 walking past the windows following the milking process! Some were curious and stopped to have a look at us - nature and a natural environment at it's best. The property owners are very welcoming with a few extras left for us to sample and ensured we had everything we needed and had settled in well.

We had a fantastic few days. The cottage is ideally located to explore the coats and countryside. Our children loved staying on a farm and we loved the views. The log burner was lovely in the evenings and the cottage was comfortable for our stay.
