Not as advertised and unhelpful check in

First - pictures don’t match condo - they allocate what’s available when you get there. Check-in instruction from after hours had us go to safe and grab a key to our place. Find out later was not intended to be our key or unit. Staff not helpful to fix and address. Unit had a great view and nice area - but unit was dated, beds nearly on the ground, walls had cracks, rusted out windows, cooking things dated. Overall not good value for money and on site management was poor at best.

Very Bad Front Desk

There was a dispute at check in about wifi. The women was mean and had a negative attitude. Wifi was only available in the lobby. However i found I could purchase wifi in my room from a third party for $10 a day. We were never showed our room or how to work any of the appliances. There was no help from the front desk for taxis or tours. Royal Plam should replace management.

dissapointing start to a very special reunion

we booked from 29th April 2015 - 2nd May 2015 we had some very disgusting cleanliness and hygiene issues with 3 of the 4 rooms offered to us, the housekeeping staff really need to be retrained, or trained to a much higher standard then what we encountered, there was a very nice receptionist on who was also mortified that the rooms were this bad, she made sure we could choose a different room that we were happy to use. Only complaint was the filthy air-con unit

Good for the price but would not stay again

I stayed here since I got a great deal but the unit was very outdated and the location was not great. The beach had a giant pipe across it with orange water running out into the ocean. Within a 5 minute walk there is a Coles food store and a few good bakeries but that was about it. Dinner options were lacking so we went to Coolangatta 2 of 3 nights which is where I'd stay next time.

This place is so family friendly The pool is a beach entry and it has a rail for the lederly and a slide for the young and young at heart. I used to take my kids there for about 10 yrs and now i take my grandkids. It is great

The grounds were beautiful. The pool was amazing. Reception were so lovely. The apartment was comfortable & homely. The beds were comfortable. The direct beach access was awesome. The views were unbeatable. Thank you Royal Palms.

Good older style apartments ( opened 1984). Apartment had been refurbished - vg. Great views, pool & walking distance to beach (2 min) & shops/ pub/ surf club (5 min) Underground Car park not the best. Road works on both major highway increase transit time (x2) to Surfer and points north. Hope finished when you visit.

The views from our apartment were amazing. The grounds and pool were also amazing. The pool temperature was perfect . The location is also great with easy walk to Coles and surrounding areas. We stayed for 9 nights and the weather was very hot so next time we book , we would ensure that the unit that we stay in had either ceiling fans or A/C. Our unit only had pedestal fans which normally might have been ok but due to the heat, our unit was sometimes very hot. We requested a high floor apartment and the staff at Royal Palm were very accomodating, the views were amazing. We also booked the apartment at a very reasonable price so all in all, we had a great stay and look forward to visiting again.
